I'm betting many of us in possession of the truck often get folks who check out the Maverick wherever it gets parked, whether in a lot or your driveway. I've had people follow me on their bicycles or in their vans to see where I'm parking to get a better look. And, of course, there's those who look it over while in a parking lot. Today was one such day. I was having breakfast with the wife and noticed some activity around my parked Maverick. Told the wife and she said, "Go show them." Ran out the restaurant and proceeded to give a sales level tour of the Lariat including letting the husband sit in it. I'm posting this because it was such a great experience not only in being able to showcase all the great features, but also having that human connection of bringing good feelings to someone who wants a Maverick but hasn't been able to even see one on a lot let alone in the wild. Suffice to say, we both walked away genuinely pleased about the whole experience. I can't be the only one who has experienced this. I'd like to hear from others.

Great story and agree. Don't have my vehicle yet but know this song and dance from the other side.

That said, if you search, there are plenty of threads about this topic for you to enjoy.

With my old 74 Maverick hotrod I would even let people sit in it and rev the engine. They could take it cause it had a ultra complex B&M shifter that was so hard to figure out I had to call the guy I bought it from how the shifter worked after he dropped it off lol!

I also saw a guy showing a kid at Subway how the air bags on his 90s ranger worked and let him play with the remote a bit.

In car culture it is always appropriate to share your vehicles beauty with others. Its how inspiration works. Otherwise you arent any better than Camerons dad rubbing his Ferrari Daytona replica with a diaper.

Great post! Loved your comments, especially about the diaper. This might age me, but ya, that's what we used before microfiber! If it was good enough for your baby's bottom ...

I've only had my Maverick for a week. But haven't had anybody come up to me asking about it yet.

It's not like I have a crowd of people lined up, so don't feel left out. :) Not quite 3 month owned and 5 or 6 different interactions. Wife half of the couple I met in the parking lot today said she hasn't seen her husband this excited in a year. LOL

uh, you've got to take it out of the garage, or kitchen if you're like Harley riders, so someone can see it! :(

I have to say that nearing the 6 month mark of waiting I am losing that initial excitement of getting a Mav.
I have seen a few in the wild but never touched one. Maybe if I sat in one my interest would stabilize.
This forum keeps me out of trouble, most of the time while waiting, but I only have repetive dumb things to say like my .....paragraph.......here....... 🥱

😳Oh, so I hope I meet a good Sam like you someday dad, or at least a fellow with a friendly pushy wife.😏

Hahaha! My compensation was the fun I had showing off the truck and the pure joy on the faces of the couple who got to see the Maverick close up. They were as excited as I was.

Your comments are anything but "dumb"! The MTC has been a blessing to me and others in your same situation. What helped me was watching every Maverick review on YouTube. It was as close as I could come to seeing one in my driveway.I will tell you this as sincerely as I possibly can ... the Mav is well worth the wait. Yours will come. If you're ever in SoCal, ring me up ... we'll go for a drive. :)

When I go shopping or running other errands in my Mav I have generally made an effort to park further away from the storefront to be away from other cars to avoid door dings. I had one guy at a grocery store compliment me on my truck but that’s been about it.

I have shown my truck to a lot of my co-workers, friends, and family and have gotten a lot of very positive comments. There’s a young man here at work who wants a Maverick in the worst way, and I have offered to be a resource to help him when he’s ready to buy a 2023 MY truck etc.
