Very kind of you! When I go shopping or running other errands in my Mav I have generally made an effort to park further away from the storefront to be away from other cars to avoid door dings. I had one guy at a grocery store compliment me on my truck but that’s been about it.
I have shown my truck to a lot of my co-workers, friends, and family and have gotten a lot of very positive comments. There’s a young man here at work who wants a Maverick in the worst way, and I have offered to be a resource to help him when he’s ready to buy a 2023 MY truck etc.
Yes, that would be great! You are close by. I'm running with the Alto Blue Lariat off Ball Road.I haven’t gotten too many comments on my Mav yet, but since I work from home three days out of the week I haven’t driven it around and parked it too much. I went to a press check in Gardena and the vendor I spoke to talked to me about it and said it looked great. I don’t mind talking to random strangers cuz I’m one of those types that will ask people about their cars if I see something interesting.
In the time I’ve had it I’ve only seen one other Mav the road and it zipped by me. I also saw an XL parked on the same street as my son’s daycare in Lakewood. Maybe I will see you around the Cypress area @Dad if I go get Flat White Coffee after dropping my son off on a weekday morning.
Considering how few times you "fill up" your encounters are impressive! Here too, I've had a few encounters while filling up a few times. One guy was eyeing the Mav as I was heading into Harbor Freight. At Dunkin Donuts, I was leaving and a "Taco"owner asked what that was. Lol. He said it was a great looking ride. At a light, a guy eyed truck up & then and nodded with approval.
Heading home Easter, had a lovely "race" with lifted late model F150. Had his brakes literally smoking from traffic light to traffic light. He gave me the thumbs up when we parted ways.
The EB rocks!
I've only see two others "in the wild" in my neck of the woods.
Love this thang!![]()
Same here. I have been told I am an excellent sales person. Hybrid lariat Velocity Blue with everything but the sun roof.I'm betting many of us in possession of the truck often get folks who check out the Maverick wherever it gets parked, whether in a lot or your driveway. I've had people follow me on their bicycles or in their vans to see where I'm parking to get a better look. And, of course, there's those who look it over while in a parking lot. Today was one such day. I was having breakfast with the wife and noticed some activity around my parked Maverick. Told the wife and she said, "Go show them." Ran out the restaurant and proceeded to give a sales level tour of the Lariat including letting the husband sit in it. I'm posting this because it was such a great experience not only in being able to showcase all the great features, but also having that human connection of bringing good feelings to someone who wants a Maverick but hasn't been able to even see one on a lot let alone in the wild. Suffice to say, we both walked away genuinely pleased about the whole experience. I can't be the only one who has experienced this. I'd like to hear from others.
I waited over eight months to get my XLT... For me it was worth it... Hope you can hang in there...I have to say that nearing the 6 month mark of waiting I am losing that initial excitement of getting a Mav.
I have seen a few in the wild but never touched one. Maybe if I sat in one my interest would stabilize.
This forum keeps me out of trouble, most of the time while waiting, but I only have repetive dumb things to say like my .....paragraph.......here....... 🥱
Oh, so I hope I meet a good Sam like you someday dad, or at least a fellow with a friendly pushy wife.

Unintended consequences and that's no error!I picked up my Maverick in November and realized pretty quickly that people notice it, even if a conversation doesn't take place. The attention seems to have tapered off a bit, but I still have a fair number of parking lot conversations with strangers.
It's funny, I feel compelled to keep my Mav clean at all times because I know that people are going to be checking it out on the streets or in parking lots. It's a lot of pressure!![]()
Yeah, taking pictures without asking permission is totally overboard and downright rude.Next year there will be many Mavericks on the road , this year people will come over and take a look at my Maverick Hybrid with my wife and I sitting in in it, making my wife uncomfortable . I have told one person who was talking pictures to stop.
Any updates on this?I've only had my Maverick for a week. But haven't had anybody come up to me asking about it yet.
