Hello cavemold,
I put it on there for both looks and to put stuff on it but only light stuff it is only stuck with 3M tape. The plastic mold is pretty hard so I would think it could hold some light things and hopefully not get too damaged. My GMC canyon got all scratched up up there from me putting things there that's why I installed it. Good luck.

Try putting a tarp down first. Make it big enough to wrap over the top, held down with shovels, etc.
Much easier cleanup.

So I pilfered this post from one of my motorcycle groups. It’s fun to see what everyone is up to. (Other than that poor SOB whose cousin totaled his)

today I got the front sides tinted to match factory

also added the tailgate assist.

Today I tried to remove, hide or lessen the scratch on the vertical, black plastic trim on the outside of the front passenger window framing that my wife said she didn't cause by her nails or rings. I tried silicon spray, tire black and black pigmented car wax but I can still see it. Less than two weeks of ownership and the my euphoria has taken a big hit. ARGH!!

Only issue is you need to trim the width of the drag sheet to fit between the wheel wells. Pro tip with these if you decide to get one put a plastic sheet down on bed first under the drag sheet. Friction is not your friend in this case and spray on liners or any liners tend to cause the drag sheet to bind up.

The cover looks great. May I ask where you bought it and how long it took for it to arrive? I ordered an x4s from a local business today and they couldn’t give me an expected shipping date.

Got spray in bedliner and window tint done at Bullet liner today. Then did a quick clean of the interior and speed shine quick detail the exterior

Being able to literally just shluck these compost bags in a beautiful arc up the air to plop into the bed was very satisfying. My first truck.
