🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

My soft roll-up tonneau was leaking quite a bit at the front and back so I used some silicone sealant and Gorilla Tape to weatherproof the back underside by the cab, and rubber weatherstripping around the tailgate.

Everything is on the inside so you can't see it unless you look underneath the cover. I don't plan to ever completely remove the tonneau so I'm ok with this mod.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow so we'll see how good of a job I did.

Dropped my truck off at the dealer for the first issue I’ve encountered in 9300 miles. Figured I’d have them do the recall while it was there as well. Looking forward to hearing what caused this fault.

Added the 3D lettering to the tailgate, door trim protectors all the way around the doors for uniformity, and door sill protectors this morning to my brand new XLT with the Lux pkg I just got on 3/30.
I have the CF door handle and bowl protectors on order with Amazon, and am heading to the Ford dealer to order the hood protector and Dee Zee hydraulic tailgate assist.
I have some other mods in mind too.

Love what you've done! Can you tell me about the door sill protectors? Are they solid or just tape?

Wow! You go Vongreg! I got mine back from the shop that installed my Roadmaster base plates. My wallet is much lighter after that! I added a .50 Cal Bullet for my antenna, and installed window air deflectors.

is the that back hood thing just for looks or can put stuff on it?

I believe I read somewhere else along this thread that you have Roadmasters. I've been waiting for Roadmaster to have their Maverick plates available. I like them better than Blue Ox because they're less obtrusive. I installed a Roadmaster plate on my 2018 Chevy Colorado and it was a chore. Fortunately, I had a clean place to store the front end while I wrestled with installing the plates. That truck caught fire and totaled itself which is one reason why I opted for the Maverick Hybrid.

Have you had a chance to flat tow the Mav? I'd be curious of your experience. I'm guessing it would be just fine.

I have installed several Roadmaster baseplates on different cars over the years. I really have to say this was the easiest baseplate to install. Pretty straight forward, no extra holes to drill.

I haven’t towed it yet but I talked with one member who was the first prototype vehicle for Roadmaster. He uses the same type RV as I do ( MB Sprinter) and he said it towed great.

There's a little vinyl flap on the tonneau that presses against the back wall of the cab which is supposed to keep out water but in reality doesn't, like...at all. I used silicone to adhere the flap to the wall and then put the gorilla tape over it. I also put silicone in the back corners because there was a gap there too.

The weatherstripping was difficult because there are just so many open areas but I think this works pretty well. Hopefully it holds up over time.

Went to RP Lumber and picked up some 2x6x10's and some 2x6x8's to build another veggie garden box for the backyard. Still need to install the top rails though.
