I just went through this exact same experience, minus the loaner car. My new axles were installed last week.
My dealer could not give me an estimate on when the parts would come in, they said anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months. But I called around other dealers looking for in-stock parts and...
After some additional digging, I have 3.4 bolts from the connector to ground. I have no continuity from the other pin to ground. Could I have a bad ground somewhere possibly?
I have a P0446 code, based on other forums (mostly F150 Forums) I ended up checking for 12 volts at the electrical connector on the charcoal canister. I have no voltage at this connector. When I pull the connector the code doesn’t change so I think I’m in the right spot. Since I can’t get any...
I'm shocked at the positivity in this thread, I legitimately thought all Mavericks were like mine.
Bought new in 22, 120K kms on it.
Too many recalls to count.
RDU sensor failed and thank goodness I replaced it myself and didn't pay the dealer $1000 to do it.
CEL Light on now for a...
Add me to the list of Mavericks needing new half shafts. Unfortunately they are currently back ordered. Anyone that got this done recently, how long was the wait for parts? Thanks.
I did not use a vacuum for the debris but probably should have. I just collected it all up as I went and don't think I could have missed much. I kept referencing the new sensor for size as I worked so that most of the drilling and mess was done before I broke through the bottom of the sensor...
There's an update in this thread somewhere, I fixed it myself.
Definitely not covered under powertrain warranty, electronic sensors in the powertrain are not covered. Would have been covered under the 3 yr/ 60K warranty if it had happened earlier.
I was quoted $1100 at the dealer, I did it...
I've heard good things about the Blizzaks but I didn't like that the tread compound changes at 50% wear. Even if you're planning to change the tire out at half wear anyway I have to question why the tread compound wasn't good enough to be used throughout the tread.
I have connections that work...
I envy all you guys that can get away without dedicated winter tires. I'm running some RTX 17" wheels I picked up used in excellent condition. I ran Goodyear Winter Command tires for a couple years but now I'm running Michelin X-Ice Snows that are made here in Nova Scotia.
Here's a couple...
There's a couple threads on here about the P0446 code but I'm slightly confused. I'm throwing this code, I have looked at my charcoal canister, and confirmed that my purge valve on the canister is working properly (applied 12 volts to the valve) and there's no visible damage to the wiring. I'm...
Don’t plan on it being this simple unfortunately. You’re not wrong, it’s one electrical connector and one bolt, they do come out easy. Unfortunately no matter how careful you are and how hard you try, that sensor will separate into two pieces on removal, and the piece in the housing will be...
Obviously we should start our own thread for those of us that weren't allowed to comment but...
I wish this was the best vehicle I've ever owned, because it very easily could be. The Maverick is just a perfect fit for my lifestyle and for what I need in a vehicle. It's just too bad it was put...
That's a super accurate reflection of Mav ownership actually. Super handy little truck for doing truck things, mind the massive amount of recalls. And also very accurate is the early MSRP makes it worth it, the current MSRP might not. Only difference between their experience and mine is that my...
Rust came quick on exposed edges where holes were punched in the underbody structure but hasn't spread to anything concerning yet. I have doused the entire underside of my truck with Rust Cure Formula 3000 and I touch it up pretty much anytime I'm doing work on the truck. Every seam, inside...
I can now confirm that truck bed coating will hide some very minor defects, and I’m way happier now that the ugly parts of the cap have been cleaned up. I also got lucky that the roof basket I bought fits pretty much perfectly, I need to plan a mounting option without needing a roof rack. Still...
Could be. When I picked it up I was told S10 Stepside, but because I've been watching Marketplace so much for toppers to try to find a back window I've seen in all my looking for a replacement back window it seems my cap was closer to a Ranger than an S10. Id definitely worked out well for me...
The worst part is, when we have composite issues at work, I'm the Engineer they call. I know how to do all of this stuff, I just need to spend some time actually doing it. Maybe a canoe wouldn't be a bad idea actually...
