Hello. I have a Hybrid XL and looking to add heated steering wheel and heated seats, ambitious I know. I purchased a 2020 Escape heated steering wheel with adaptive cruise control, CC is working great btw (regular not adaptive... yet!). So the clock spring doesn't have enough pins, which means I probably don't have the wiring in place. I ordered a clock spring that has the pins, should arrive tomorrow. Also, I ordered an HVAC module off a trashed 2020 Escape that had heated steering wheel buttons and heated seat buttons but NOT dual zone... important.. I think.
The back of the unit has extra pins, and the wiring harness that plugs into that, well, doesn't. So the only way to get this working is with some wiring work, maybe some fuses idk. So this is where you, and you, and maybe you come in. I was hoping someone could snap a picture of the HVAC wiring harness plug. It's really easy to remove the trim around the HVAC module area, it's kind of isolated so you don't have to remove a bunch of other trim panels. There's 2 plugs in the back of the module, and the one on the left is the one with the extra pins. I'll post up some pics of mine today when I get a chance. Thanks in advance.
p.s. yes I know I should have just ordered a higher trim but where's the fun in that?
