Hi All,
There are probably threads on here that answer this but there is a LOT of threads to go through referring to Cruise control.
I have a 2022 XL and I have the OBDLink EX USB-based OBD-II adapter on the way.
From what I have read, all I need to do is change out the current switches with these:
left Motorcraft SW8576
right Motorcraft SW8579
And edit the appropriate code with the OBDLink EX.
to go from this:
to this:
I get that the wiring is supposed to be the same and it is the switch that determines the function, but it feels very strange that the phone controls can move from one side to the other. Are the left and right wires all "one set" or something? Can I get some assurance that my understanding is correct about the process?
