I've now put 11k miles on the truck across the country and back. Other than some issues I caused myself doing other things, the ACC has been bullet proof. I think @Gilbillygucci also got it working, among his many other awesome mods.
Have you tried clearing DTCs then disconnecting the battery for a while? I had some DTCs I couldn't git rid of, and it wasn't until I unplugged the battery for an hour or two that they resolved.
Recent warranty law (at least in the US) have restricted the kinds of things that are permitted to void a warranty. Generally speaking, the burden is on the manufacturer to prove the modification caused whatever malfunction is being repaired.
I ordered 5x LU2Z-14474-AA and I can confirm they are the correct part number for fitting additional pins into the IPMA connector above the rearview mirror. They come with a pre-crimped pigtail (~10ish inches of wire), a ferrule (if crimping instead of soldering I guess), and a dual wall heat...
Awesome work, congrats!
On the grill thing... I've noticed that F-series have their ACC sensors behind one of the black plastic panels on the lower bumper. I wonder if ours could be put back there as well. One concern I have is that it's a bit lower than the F-series bumper. It would be nice...
There's a flex bed connector inside the little plastic flap on both sides near the tailgate. It's always on with the key, not sure about when the key is off. If you do some searching there are write ups elsewhere on the board on how to use it.
I already had CP360, so I can't speak to whether or not it is necessary. My understanding is that all models regardless of trim level have the front facing camera, and that may be all that is required to install ACC. But I can't say with 100% certainty.
I can't say for sure, but I can offer my experience. I don't recall getting any pre-collision warnings prior to installing ACC. Since I've had it, I have gotten maybe 5 or so. I might have inadvertently changed the sensitivity level, but I don't believe I did. So it's possible it is more...
The write-up at the very top contains full beginning to end instructions on getting this working. Yes, you will need to replace the left and right buttons. I would suggest following the linked tutorial for changes to install the right buttons. As far as programming, I have had ACC working for...
Weird, I tried writing back a few days ago and it never posted.
I ordered the grille, bracket, cover, and sensor all together. It took the bracket, grille, and cover about two weeks to ship. They didn't say anything about the sensor being back-ordered and I was disappointed to find it was not...
