Thank you for the information! I don't think people mind multiple emails, so this doesn't exactly make sense. I could get a "hey, we maybe possibly might pull your order" email and I'd be thrilled.

Dealer order # --32, Hybrid XLT 360. confirmed Sept. nothing from Ford since. Dealer order # --33, [10 minutes after order # --32]-- Eco. XLT, FX4, 360, 4K. Email yesterday, confirmed Built 3/29. What's the constraint again? Wanted the Hybrid first, and why it was ordered first, but the seemingly more complicated build is done and the Hybrid ? Nada! No logic to the process is easily found.

Please put the emails back the way they were. I agree with others, providing less information is worse than providing information then having to send updates due to changes.

Please put the email arrangements as they were before. Not communicating anything to your customers is bad enough. Do not make it worse. It's not like we get weekly updates (or any) from the dealers. If you want this model of selling vehicles to work, you are going to have to make some changes in our favor. Thank you.

I received an email today. My production date is May 16th and I have a VIN. I ordered July 12, 2021. My Maverick is a Lariat hybrid.
Did you get an email from Ford directly, or from your dealer?

Although I can only imagine it is frustrating as well to have a production date under the old system only to have it change as material constraints come into play causing delays but at least those folks had a rough idea that their build was in the mix. I ordered the Hybrid XLT Lux w/360 last July and have yet to receive a build date. It makes me frustrated and chuckle at the same time to hear of other folks who ordered months later than I complain about their "wait" or, even worse, GET their exact build. Should allocations REALLY matter? How about a FIFO (barring material constraints) regardless of where they are going? That only seems fair to the customer. Is the dealer more important or the customer whose only fault is geography, demographics --where they live?

I am excited to get my Mav and prepared for it late last fall by selling 4 of my older vehicles in hopes it would arrive in Dec or Jan at the latest. I ended up buying back at the end of January a Fusion Hybrid I sold last September to a private party as my vehicle situation was dire. I need the little truck I ordered, missed a lot of opportunities for its use this winter and spring and was hoping to get a rough idea of WHEN it would be produced so I could resell the old Fusion I bought back in preparation for the arrival of the Maverick. It would be great to get an email stating that production would be 1 or 2 weeks out but it is possible that is not enough time to sell an old vehicle before the new baby arrives. So... I concur with other comments.... it would be good to get an email that a vehicle is scheduled for production in a certain range of time barring further constraint issues and then an update when it is closer. PLEASE schedule me! lol

Ahh, makes sense now. I received an email last night from my dealership that my truck has a build week for May 9th, and it also included my VIN number. I was kind of surprised I heard from the dealership first before I heard from Ford. I was expecting to get the latter first.

Why even offer package options they can't readily supply? Waste of 9 months it seems
Because it stops you from buying a Santa Cruz or some other vehicle.
