Ford reached out to me also. I gave them all the information they requested and they gave me a case number and said someone would call me in 2 to 3 days. It’s been weeks and no one has contacted me.
Safelite finally got the windshield and replaced it about 2 weeks later than originally scheduled. It is an OEM windshield with the Ford logo on it. In the meantime I never got a ticket or had any issues at all.
That is too bad. They contacted me and also gave me a case number. I reached out to the dealership but they informed me that my issue was not covered under warranty because it was from road debris and not a parts defect.. In any case I had already contacted my insurance company and simply got the windshield replaced.
Awesome! I have an appointment tomorrow with a local glass repair company to get the chips taken care of. They told me it will take less than an hour which works perfect for me.
Yea I had an 18 inch crack, so they had to replace the whole windshield.
Was the camera attached to the center of the windshield a major additional cost for replacing to the new windshield. Assumed it is just glued on ?
Not that I am aware. I paid my $100 deductible and nothing more
What was your quote to get a replacement windshield? Literally the same thing just happened and my online quote I got seemed a bit outrageous stating “recalibration” of my front view camera?
I have no idea- I had to pay my deductible that's all I know
It may be a Colorado thing, but if you make it a point to look at other windshields, it seems like the majority are cracked here.
Yea I know some people are just anal retentive I guess.
