I may have missed it but has anyone tried to use Forscan to set ECO as the default drive mode when starting up? I don't have my July 12th order hybrid FE yet but haven't given up hope. Also interested in other mod done using Forscan,

Oh, please let this happen. Worth the cost of admission, if possible.

Also, I'm sure the EB owners works love if auto start stop could be permanently disabled.

This is frequently requested and often discussed. Alas, the answer is no. There isn't a way to set a default drive mode.

I've noticed now that I've ECO and SPORT my Auto start/stop NEVER stops the engine. So maybe that's the way to disable it.

Interesting. I have my Escape in Eco mode and I noticed last fall that my engine wasn't turning off either. I just thought there was something wrong or because it was cold out was the reason. I'll have to return it to Normal mode and see what happens.

Wondering if the F-150 drive mode memory module from Timers Shop would work on the Maverick. It remembers the last mode used and will restart in that mode,

I dont have mine yet, but do you have to turn on eco mode every time you start the truck if you want it enabled? If so that sucks.

Pretty much. It defaults to "Normal" mode at every startup, not the last mode used.

Additionally, the truck will also not respond to presses on the drive mode select button until 5 seconds after startup.

Another forum member did design a small timer circuit that fits inline with the drive mode select switch wiring that will wait out the startup delay and auto-select any available mode.

Default to Eco-Mode with this DIY Module

It makes no logical sense to me that Ford would not program a software setting to to toggle between remembering the last drive mode used or defaulting to normal mode.

My thought would be maybe the system could default to Eco mode if one removed / disabled the other 4 modes with Forscan, but, not motivated enough to try it myself only had the motivation to add Sport and Eco as I wanted more options not fewer.
