I had my order confirmed on July 7 last year. My wife and I were starting to think about having a kid, and I figured I wanted something safer and more reliable than my 2003 Saturn Vue.

Well, my wife got pregnant in September. I figured I had plenty of time for the truck to come in before the baby arrives. We wanted a safer car that has more space for a carseat.

Today was the last day that my truck could get scheduled and sorta have a delivery date before my son's (June 8). No email.

My wife and I decided to have a kid and made a whole human in the time it is taking Ford to get that truck to me.
Congrats on the kid , condolences on the Mav.

I counted six orders in this thread. All were Ecoboost engines and Lux packages. So much for the Lux being a constrained item. The ordering months were Sep (1), Oct (4) and Dec (1).

I'm starting to think the 8F35 transmissions are in short supply (again). I'd like to hear from @Bobinmi to gather insight. The other possibility is the 94kW battery supplier is so far behind the original quote hybrid production will halt until a new "just-in-time" batch arrive in Hermosillo.

Have not heard a word from Ford since confirmation of purchase. Just refreshed my email and saw a message from Ford. My heart skipped a beat and then noticed it was my first statement of FordPass reward points which of course I have none because I do not have a truck.

Coincidence or is there some kind of sadist in the ford commo center???
Same here, which was crazy because I just got off chatting with Ford (no mention of a gift card or anything).

I feel the same way. If it’s not one thing it’s another that is stopping you from getting your order thru. At first it was spray in bed liner then Hybrid then whatever now 360 plus Lux but every time I see people with orders long after me with more options and things that are supposed to slow the order being produced. So I think it has to die with what the profit is by either the dealer financing or what the vehicle itself make and not much else. This will be the first time and last time I will be ordering from Ford. I know the circumstances but the facts are facts Ford doesn’t care about first come first served but only about profits. Thank you Ford but after this I will be looking else where for my next vehicle after this experience.

I finally get to contribute to this type of post after lurking for months:

Email Received: 11:49AM Central
Scheduled Build Week: 04/25/2022
Build Info: Area 51, 2.0 EcoBoost, AWD, Lariat Luxury Package, FX4, 4K Tow, Co-Pilot
Order Date: 10/21/2021
VIN Received

It looks like Ford is pushing through a bunch of Lariat/Co-Pilot builds this week, which may have coincided with the emails sent out last week to dealers asking people to remove Lariat and Co-Pilot packages to speed up their builds. I'm guessing those people who cancelled those options opened up chip stock for the ones who did not cancel? Who knows...

Good luck everyone.
Nice I also ordered on 10/21 and nada!!

Interesting. I changed my truck color I think in October. I too didn't think that changed the order date.
It’s no supposed to but I was surprised to see 11/27 on the build email instead of 9/6. Maybe it’s still considered 9/6 in the queue. Still monitoring here to see if y’all get more emails tomorrow!

I thought I saw my Area 51 XLT hybrid Unicorn. Turned out it was just another e-mail from Ford Performance.

I just asked about the status. The guy said he was checking it and then I got cut off by them (stayed connected but nobody there for 20 minutes - just a deadline). I called back and the next person gave me what info she could and then offered the gift card, maybe because of being cutoff. I didn't really complain too much other than expressing that it has been tough waiting this long. But mostly was positive with them. I think ford is aware of the growing discontent and is just trying to be proactive.
Reactive… by no means proactive.

This is strangely similar with my wife and I. Confirmed on July 9th due to trying to have a kid in September. Got pregnant in October and due July 2. Probably not going to have it in time for mine either.
