Wireless charger stops charging after a few minutes.

In case anyone has experienced the same issue: my wireless charger on my lariat would not charge my phone all the time. I am using an iPhone mini and I put a rubber mat over the tray to keep it from slipping around. However I began to notice that whenever I place my phone in the tray, the wireless charger would only work for a few minutes, and then I can see that the phone stops charging. I have to pick up the phone and then put it back to reactivate the charger. This is very annoying. Is there anything that I can do?

Remove the rubber mat. See if that helps. Do you have a thick case on your phone? This could cause the problem.

Mine phone does not have a case and I would try removing the mat, thanks!

Mine does the same. It usually gets extremely hot and the iPhone says it stopped charging until the temperature goes down.

I have an Otterbox cover on my phone that has saved it more than once from drop damage. I noticed it would heat up to the point of shutting down charging and wondered about the thickness of that case interfering with the charger. Sure enough, when I took it out of the case, it got warm but never hot. Problem solved!
Betting that rubber mat is impeding the charger.
