Anyone out there having issues with the wireless charger? I have a ‘23 lariat hybrid. When I put my phone on the charging pad it shows that it’s charging but over the course of an hour will only go up 2-3%. It also makes my phone VERY HOT!!!

Is your phone in a case?
Mine is inside of a leather like case. When placed on the pad it tells me that it’s charging but it charges very, very slowly. If I remove it from the case and place the naked phone on the charger, it charges substantially faster and yes it gets warm.
Err…..but I don’t want to do that. That’s why I also keep a cable in the center console, which works very quickly.

Cliff notes: Take it out of the case and try it again. I hope that helps.

Are you using Android Auto/Carplay?

It's a low wattage wireless charger, basically not worth using for reasons you stated. I use mine to charge my Samsung Buds, but keep a fast charger plugged into the 110v plug in the console if needed for my phone.

It's garbage, only good for heating up your phone and we all know how good that is for electronics. I used fuse position 18 to power a dashcam instead. At least it came in handy for that.

Mine works great. It’s fast and hardly any heat buildup. 25 Hybrid Lariat

Have you charged your phone on any other wireless chargers in your house? Wireless charging is well known to be inefficient and it's not uncommon for devices to heat up while charging wirelessly.

I don't mind induction technology for cooking🍳but not for charging my phone.

1st 2 times I used it was the same but now mine works really pretty well..The charging time is comparable to a typical regular charge not optimal or fast...Have to say, I feel really lucky with my 22 lariat 1st edition ecoboost so far..I haven't experienced any of the issues brought up here in this forum besides the recalls....Just turned 39k miles and after 4k miles my oil looked new..I do change every 3500 to 4000 miles...
