Rear defroster should be std equipment on anything above the XL.

the only two options I am surprised about is homelink, since it has been on every Ford I have had for the last nearly 25 years, and Sirius/ XM on all trims. To be honest, I am actually shocked about satellite radio because i would think Sirius/XM would pay Ford to make sure it is there. I know there are alternative ways to have it, but I guess the antenna cost that much more?

That was shown to be part of the Lariat luxury trim, but with the latest update it was removed. I was looking forward to having that too.

They did at one point. Many years ago now when I was a young boy my father and I went (maybe to Detroit?) to watch the F-250 he special ordered get built He shortly after drove it up to Alaska to work on the pipeline. I still have that truck.
That's pretty cool. And to still have it is even better.

I really cannot understand why pretty all auto manufacturers are so slow to provide wireless Carplay and Android Auto. I know it sounds like a first world problem but it's really annoying to have to plug my phone in every time I get in the car just use Android Auto.
Nobody charges their phone while driving anymore?

And yes I know the Lariat gets the wirelss/Qi charging pad but that has other issues (overheating phones).

I always charge my phone while driving so the phone ends up being wired anyways.

I actually use the Qi charger to recharge my Hearing Aids. I have the Signia Hearing Aids and the case can be charged via the Qi charger. That's what I'll use it for.

For me, safety is paramount. my 2019 CX-5 (Grand Touring model) is similar in price to the 2022 Maverick Lariat. The CX-5 has the heads-up display but Lariat does not have this available. Why?

didn't read the previous postings so sorry if it's a dup.
Would love to have the back seat have a 60 / 40 split on both the seat and the seat back.

I don't recall saying that no one charges their phone while driving? My point was that I don't need to charge my phone every time I'm in the car, in fact for me I rarely charge my phone in the car. And since the technology for wireless Android Auto & wireless Carplay has been available for a few years it seems crazy that the auto manufacturers for the most part refuse to offer it. It would be so much easier if it automatically connected when I start the car, similar to how our phones automatically connect to bluetooth. Imagine if we had to plug in our phone's every time we got in the car just to make phone calls. It's silly.

My new hearing aids charge via the case. The case is a 3-4 day battery for charging the aids, which is really nice since I don't have to mess with tiny batteries anymore!

Yeah, mine as well. I typically will charge after 2 uses though. I don't want to have to remember if there is enough charge remaining. I've found the hearing aids aren't getting the 16 hours per charge so I don't trust the 3-4 day charge capacity either.

I charge mind up every night and the charge case every 3 days. So far I've found my aids will last 15-16 hours a day. I've only heard the low "battery" once and that was because I didn't get one aid on the charger correctly so it didn't charge over night.

From what I understand, the wireless CarPlay an android auto is very laggy, and consumes quite a bit of battery. The car manufacturers are not hip on placing a technology that is not ready. Also, the wireless charging is very slow and generate quite a bit of heat in your phone. I had that in my Tacoma and tried it once, but it was worthless.
