Should be easy. It’s a must have feature imoNot yet. Would be nice if they'd do a software update that keeps it in the last-used drive mode.
The instrument cluster display will show you scrolling through the drive modes, and then an icon will appear on that same display and remain there until you switch to a different mode. This may be a dumb question. Is there an indicator on the dash as to which drive mode you are in?
Do you happen to have something plugged into the 4 pin in the back? I heard the truck thinks you have a trailer hooked and automatically switches to tow mode on startup if you have like an aftermarket brake light connected to the 4 pin.My truck keeps resetting to towing mode whenever I start the car. Is there a way to lock in Eco Mode?
Normal mode does not allow coasting, it’s something like 20% on normal and 40% on ECO for regen braking with foot off the pedal. On mine at least. No, but if it makes you feel any better, normal mode is just as efficient as eco mode as long as you drive efficiently (no rough accelerations, ride the brakes and brake early when coming to a stop to recharge the battery).
Eco Mode more so just compensates for aggressive driving by lowering the throttle response and turns on brake regen when you let off the gas pedal where in normal mode it coasts unless going downhill.

And 10% of speed in "Slippery" mode... where you'll also notice a real reduction in throttle response, compared with ECO. Brakes, are very soft, too, consistent with a reduced traction mode.Normal mode does not allow coasting, it’s something like 20% on normal and 40% on ECO for regen braking with foot off the pedal. I spent most of the past week with a trailer hooked up to mine (14 ft. utility trailer) and it would always be in Normal mode at startup. It acknowledged that the trailer was there, brake controller was active and blindspot/cross traffic sensors disabled but would not switch to Tow/Haul automatically. I was using the 7-pin that is part of the 4k tow package.Do you happen to have something plugged into the 4 pin in the back?
