The Santa Cruz is a lot less available than the Maverick. They didn't make many and I don't think they took orders from customers. My local dealer had 1 allocated to them. an employee bought it.Not exactly a very exciting piece, is it?
Honestly, I don't see any sense in a comparison ad when the Maverick isn't even readily available outside of special orders.
I bet they dont have the fan base and comradery as we do on our Maverick Truck Club here! Not exactly a very exciting piece, is it?

Santa Cruz profits shipped to South Korea.Santa Cruz: built in Birmingham, Alabama, USA
Maverick: built in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico
I seen about 3 of them out in AZ and not my cup of tea, way to expensive, poor gas miles. And compered to my Maverick Hybrid .
The public is buying every Maverick and Santa Cruz that hits the dealer floor within a week. Average Santa Cruz is sold at a $1500 or so markup.Pfft. I'd like to see their "winning" sales numbers compared. The public has spoken.
If they had put a hybrid drivetrain in it ...... Whole different conversationFor me Maverick has much better residuals otherwise I would have preferred the Santa Cruz for multiple reasons
100% correct and Ford puts out numbers saying the echo boost is more popular because they've sold more of those than hybrids even though the numbers are based on vehicles they have 0 to sell.....The public is buying every Maverick and Santa Cruz that hits the dealer floor within a week. Average Santa Cruz is sold at a $1500 or so markup.
The only thing we can really compare right now is production capacity, as both are selling as fast as they can make them. Ford wins on numbers because they are preselling vehicles they don't have, and from what it sounds like, may not even have in 2022 and will get pushed to a 2023 MY. Hyundai has a different business model and only sells vehicles that are at dealerships already.
