I really doubt Ford cares about your hurt feelings. I mean, it's pretty much common sense that we're in a pandemic and as a result there are major supply chain issues and they make their sales assumptions based on best case scenarios to hopefully maximize profits. I think anyone with an ounce of common sense understands that and why Ford even needs to say anything at all is beyond me considering, like I said, it's common sense.
I don't have hurt feelings. My entire reason for commenting was to call them out on cutting and pasting/plagiarizing from their own document that we all have been discussing for 30 pages and are familiar with the wording of. Their comment was literally just a cut and paste. Not even one extra word or any additional thought put into it. Like they are reading from a script that they have to stick to with no variation.

I am imagining the team of 2 or 3 Ford reps who monitor this forum.

Rep 1: "Ohh crap guys, you see this 30 page long thread about that dealer memo? We better say something to them. Make sure they understand where Ford is coming from with all of this"

Rep 2: "I know what we should do! Cut and paste a couple sentences from the memo we sent to the dealers. That will ease all their concerns and bring the aggravation level down a few notches".

Rep 1: " Great idea! Too big to fail!"

Rep 1 and 2: "We did it! Jumping high five action!"

I am a mid-January order. So I have no real expectation of seeing my truck anytime soon. And I can laugh about it. But I will call out a tone deaf corporate representative when I see one. And I do see one here in this thread. :)

If anyone is interested in the GA area, Auto Nation Marietta has an XL hybrid coming in next month and is available. Asking MSRP for it. Call and ask for John and mention Nathan sent you over.

my only add ons. Are 360 and hitch. If I can’t get them they will have to keep my truck. I want a back up camera and not a after market bolt on .
As of 2018 all new vehicles are required to have a backup camera and video screen standard issue. If that's all you want 360 for, you may want to talk to your dealer.

Apologies in advance to any and all who might still be waiting, but some good news:

After ordering on 7/14/21-waiting 6 months for a build date email, then having it pushed back (via email) 3 times THEN going out and purchasing a Santa Cruz, I have finally received a "built" email with an actual delivery date. I am thrilled beyond belief, although the Mav will become the wife's DD vehicle and I, most likely will be driving the SC. (that's if the MAV gets delivered. lol)

Ford Maverick [Dealer Memo] Not all 2022 Mavericks will be built. Update on Maverick Retail Order Scheduling, Customer Options and Order Amendment delivery

Area 51 Hybrid XLT w Lux pkg w SIBL., 360, moonroof, hard tri-fold tonneau, floor liners.
Here's the SC, while nice wasn't my first choice. Best to all and have patience.

It says

and the number of vehicles the customer’s Ford dealer receives.

So allocations are still a part of the process.
That last part about allocations is what is screwing the whole process up! I believe this is why we keep seeing builds with date later than many of us who ordered in June/July. When going through the Regions of the various dealerships if they are out of allocations for that week/month then it doesn't matter if they have a June 15th build waiting, the dealership with allocations with get the build date even if the order was just place in Jan. I believe this how we've seen a few folks state they placed an order and receive a build a week later. Of course, I could be wrong and I have a few ex-wives that will tell you so!

Hi All
I contacted my sales guy in Manchester NH and he said the spray in bed liner is holding it up as well as the bed hold downs, he said I could not remove it because it was part of the Lux package and we still want those options in our truck. He did not say I would have to change to 2023 and wait for next year so I will keep the fingers crossed. Thanks for this site for all the info you put out.
Cyber orange, Tow pkg xlt lux ,floor liners, 2.0 eco boost, No 360 or any other stuff
That just not true about the Lux package. You can change you Lux package from SIBL to the Lux package with DIBL. I've done with my XLT Lux package. Anything that can be added at the dealership or by you should be (and can be) removed from your order since more of those item are at some constraint level. If you need to watch Tim Bartz's video he explains all of this, and if you need point your salesperson to this video.

Thank you, I did not know that. My salesman did not either.

From the Memo:
"While Ford still plans to produce a limited number of 2022 model year Mavericks for dealer stock inventory, the priority for remaining production will go to unscheduled Maverick retail orders based on the date they were submitted by the customer’s Ford dealership, vehicle model and configuration selected, part availability, and the number of vehicles the customer’s Ford dealership receives"

And Ford wonders why so many folks are pissed off. Weren't we told "Retail Orders Only"? Exactly how many "Limited" dealer stock Mavericks is Ford going to build using the very parts they are asking paying customers to sacrifice. Will it be hundreds, thousands, and what models with what options? Does anyone think there won't be some Lariat Hybrids with the Luxury Package in the "Limited" lot? We already know dealers like Long McArthur will be getting their share and as Tim said, the Dealership doesn't feel bad about charging $5,000 - $7,500 over MSRP - I'll let the members decide how they feel about that. Not sure why but I noticed when Tim read the entire Memo he left out the entire paragraph above, nor did he discuss it. I hope Tim sets aside some time in his next video to address this issue. I realize he isn't Ford and didn't draft that memo. Tim has devoted so much of his time to the Maverick Truck folks and by all means he's help many of us.

Correction: Tim only skipped - "While Ford still plans to produce a limited number of 2022 model year Mavericks for dealer stock inventory . . . . .

Did all Ford dealers get this? Asking since my contact at Chapman said they did not receive the email, and they are still telling me that taking my bed extender off my order will likely push me to MY23. Everything I am reading, removing the bed extender constraint, Ford now taking order dates (August 14th) into priority, and larger volume dealers (Chapman), is telling me to get them to take off the bed extender and I should be top priority!? So confusing, do I trust the dealer and leave it on, or trust all the information out there? Could it be possible Chapman did not receive the email? If they didnt, maybe they have priority and I should not remove it? Haha
Funny how it seems these options are the trouble... I've called around the twin cities where I'm from and nobody around here are having trouble with spray liner or tonneau covers..I don't think we're getting the whole story.
So for those with the First Edition package...we just wait....we remove nothing! The First Edition cult club will get what we want! <insert evil laugh>
I want my Lariat . No way I'm compromising...I got the money..Ford step up and take my bitterness away

I emailed the sales manager at my dealer and told him I am not interested in making ANY changes to my order. Ford will either build the truck I ordered, or they won't. I told the dealer I'll wait it out and re-evaluate if/when Ford pushes a bunch of MY22 orders to MY23.

I thought backup cameras are now required on all vehicles by law.

Was it stated that all First Editions will still be built? It's not like you can remove any of the things they are recommending to remove (bedliner, copilot, etc).

The combination of incredibly strong retail order demand and unprecedented supply chain issues has created a number of capacity constraints that have disrupted our ability to schedule many customer’s retail orders for production. We recognize this has caused frustration for our customers and we are working very hard to find solutions to get their vehicles to them as quickly as possible.
While I appreciate that finally there some type communication for Ford, there still seems to a fundamental problem with how allocations are given to dealerships. This seems to be the biggest issue and main complaint from most customers. We can understand supply issues, personnel issues, but the scheduling doesn't make any sense at all. It just boggles the mind when you see a person who ordered weeks or months after you placed the same EXACT order and they get a build date and you don't. You ask your salesperson why this is, they don't have an answer either. NO ONE but FORD has the answer to this question of why allocations are still tied to a dealership's past record of sales. So in your search for solutions to alleviate our frustrations, start with looking at the allocation system. First In, First Out (FIFO) works for many other business, I'm sure it could work here too.

You're correct, he just doesn't read:

"While Ford still plans to produce a limited number of 2022 model year Mavericks for dealer stock inventory . . . . . .

Which is my main problem with the Memo!
