Thank you all for your suggestions. Mission accomplished. Yes, the blue thread locker was the issue getting the bolt off the plate. Soaking it in the wife's nail polish remover got the bolt off. And the suggestion to use a flat head screwdriver while tightening with the 5mm Allen made it snug...

NEED HELP from my MTC brethren ! Had my Ford dealer(attempt to) install the DeeZee two times. Both times the plate that goes into the tailgate has fallen off. What did they do wrong and how can I correct it to make the tailgate assist work without falling off? A few pictures attached. Thanks all !

Received my Yee Pin center console organizer today. Ordered first week in June. Must have taken that slow boat from China! Fits perfectly and eliminates the need for digging deep to retrieve items stored in armrest.

I changed my oil at 2K miles on my XLT Hybrid. It was going in for the recall and I figured why not, it's there already. I'd rather spend a few extra dollars and have the peace of mind that IF there were any "break in" issues with the oil, I was proactive about it.

I put the Ford tailgate assist in my Mav as well. At the end of the day, it's a convenience item. For $50., wasn't a budget buster. But certainly appreciate the premise of to each his own.....
