This is the first real Ford distributed statement I have seen that comes close to admitting that not all 2022 model year orders will be filled. I feel like it still isn't QUITE there with an admission, but it is pretty close! Not that I am happy to see it.....

I mean....I don't expect them to say "exactly 3,549 Mavericks wont be built in the 2022 model year unless specific constrained items are removed", but their word choice still leaves much to be desired.
You notice they said if your 2022 truck is not built, REORDER in August and go back to the end of the line

My dealer suggested we remove bedliner when order was placed in November to speed the process.
Mine said remove the bed cover back in August, but still zip from Ford. And I ordered the most base everything you can do!

I think in terms of build quality and reliability it will be far ahead of Ford.
Reliability - I'm not sure of that. Anecdotally, I've had friends that have owned Hyundai vehicles and they basically became a money pit after 100,000 miles. Note that I said owned, not leased. If you are leasing and are ok doing that, then you will obviously not be concerned with the longevity as you will be returning the vehicle with less than 50,000 miles on the odometer and still under warranty.

My use case is to buy the vehicle and drive it at least twice the duration of the payments - so if pay for a 5 year loan, drive for 10 years total. With Ford vehicles I generally get around 300,000 miles before they cost more to upkeep than they are worth, and that is usually around 12 years of ownership.

So basically, if you haven’t gotten your Maverick, you can eliminate some of the things that you wanted on your Maverick and it might get built if it was ordered from a high volume dealer or you may just have to do it all over again in August when hopefully they will be taking orders again. Gotta love Ford. Pass the Vaseline please.
That's the jist of it. Well said.

Vaseline is constrained to 0 percent for the foreseeable future. Hell Fire Jelly is being substituted at no additional charge.

If nothing else ordering a Mav has been the best movie I’ve seen all year. Just hoping it has a happy ending.

Received Q&A document from Ford Dealer this morning (attached - apologies if posted previously )

> Still not clear if Ford will (ever) fulfill all 2022 orders received; seems to imply once the 2022 model year build is over - Ford is moving on...
--------from Q&A doc-----------
What happens to customer orders that were submitted before Ford stopped accepting new retail orders?
Retail orders that were submitted and completed the required verification process by the customer’s Ford dealer will continue to be prioritized for scheduling through the remainder of 2022 model year production, pending specific supply/commodity availability.
How are customer’s retail orders selected for scheduling?
All Maverick truck retail orders will continue to be prioritized according to the time they were received (i.e. oldest orders scheduled first), vehicle model and configuration selected, part availability, completion of the required Customer Order Verification Process (COVP) by the customer’s Ford dealer, and the number of vehicles the customer’s Ford dealer receives.
What are the specific features or packages that are under current supply chain constraints?
The unforeseen and unprecedented challenges with the supply chain are impacting the following optional features and packages on our Maverick truck:
- Co-Pilot360 package (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims)
- XLT Luxury package (optional on XLT trim)
- Lariat Luxury package (optional on Lariat trim; requires Co-Pilot360 package)
- Spray-In Bedliner (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims; included in Lariat Luxury package)
- Cargo Management System (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims; included in XLT & Lariat Luxury packages)
- Bed Extender (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims)
- Bed Tray (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims)
- Hard Trifold Tonneau Cover (optional on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims)
Why have so many Maverick customers with retail orders been waiting so long for their order to schedule?
The combination of incredibly strong retail order demand and unprecedented supply chain issues has created a number of capacity constraints that have disrupted our ability to schedule many customer’s retail orders for production. We recognize this has caused frustration for our customers and we are working very hard to find solutions to get their vehicles to them
as quickly as possible.
What should customers do if they have an unscheduled 2022 model year retail order and have been waiting an extended period of time for their order to schedule?
Existing retail order customers should confirm with their Ford dealer that their dealer has completed the required Customer Order Verification Process (COVP) and received confirmation of its approval. If the customer’s retail order has one or several of the communicated capacity constrained optional features or packages, they should discuss their options with their Ford dealer.
What is the latest customer delivery timing anticipated for remaining 2022 model year Maverick retail orders?
2022 model year Maverick trucks will be delivered to customers as late as the fall of this year.

The other shoe has fallen, as I heard from my salesman yesterday, although not unprovoked, as I had sent him a copy of the memo (thanks MTC!).

He asked if I would be changing anything, I declined, knowing that a 9-21-2021 Lariat Lux order falls within the grey zone of 'Ain't Happening'. Rolling the dice...

I did ask "if it doesn't happen, is the current order price protected for the new 2023 and is it automatically rolled over by you when the August Order Window opens?". I included this snip from the original Memo:

2. The customer can continue to wait for their 2022 model year retail order to schedule within the
capacity constrained levels. If the order is unable to be scheduled in the 2022 model year the
customer would need to work with their Ford dealer to convert their retail order to a 2023 model
year order when the retail order bank re-opens this summer.

I'm assuming (yeah, yeah, I know...) that '....working with...' entails affirming a desire to have the 2022 roll over to a 2023 and the salesman does all that's required to make that happen. Lots of faith placed within the italicized portion of that sentence.

I'll Update/Edit when, or if, I get confirmation from the salesman on the Price Protection portion, which is paramount at this stage of this movie.

You don’t trust your Ford dealer? 😊

My only issue with this is that they HAVE NOT been prioritizing based on time received. So are t hey going to do th at going forward? I've seen identical builds to mind from months later get scheduled, so I'm calling BS on this.

It says

and the number of vehicles the customer’s Ford dealer receives.

So allocations are still a part of the process.

Ordered from a very tiny dealer in Michigan UP, they got 2 in so far since production began and there are at least 5 orders outstanding now so I think I'm hosed for MY22 also due to small volume dealer.
Probably been asked already so I apologize --Somebody (who actually knows) make sense of this. So if Long McArthur has an allocation of 30 units a month and has 300 units not scheduled yet, wouldn't that mean it will be 10 months to get all the orders scheduled?

If Philemon's dealer has 5 units not scheduled yet then wouldn't he have a better chance or at least as good as if he ordered from Long McArthur?
