Ford painted themselves into a corner by tying so many options to the lux packages.

My biggest "must haves" are heated leather seats and blind spot detection/cross traffic alert. Closest I can get without going aftermarket is the active X heated seats on the Lariat luxury package.

If I could have gotten the seats without the lux package I would have gone that route, but Ford requires me to buy a bunch of features I don't really want in order to get what I do care about.

Its great marketing when supplies aren't short, but right now that's not the case.
Totally agree with your points. My SUV allowed me to purchase the cold weather package and pre CP360 equivalent as stand alone options. Ford expected no more than a quarter of customers would include the XLT $2500 or $3750 Lariat Lux packages and currently expect to fill half of those.

Point 3 in the letter from Ford is completion of the Customer Order Verification Process by the dealer. How can the customer verify that is done by the dealer? If the dealer didn’t, I doubt they would ‘fess up. The Maverick Marketing Team in Dearborn can only tell if this is marked as a retail order, and CANNOT determine if the COVP was completed by the dealer. THE CUSTOMER IS COMPLETELY IN THE DARK ABOUT IF THIS REQUIRED STEP WAS COMPLETED!

The email says they are prioritizing by order date as well, so if you ordered in June, I wouldn't change a thing...
I frackin hope so! Otherwise I could have dropped these constraints back in September and probably had the truck by now!

Yeah, I'm waiting for the call. If they can take the spray-in out of my Lux package and give me a credit back, I'll take it. I want the bed extender, but I've already seen some aftermarket one listed here that are cheaper anyway.
Agree- If the SIBL can be dropped from Lariat/Lux and a credit given just to get a build date I would be all in !

That redesigned Ranger looks nice. If I'm pushed to a MY23, I may not roll over the Mav order. Get a Lariat Ranger. That is, only if the redesigned Ranger is coming to the states in MY23. Can't stand the current gen Ranger front end. 🤮 This may be a blessing in disguise as I could live with the Mav interior, but i can't say i love it. Lets see what happens!
Yeah that current Ranger looks pretty nasty from most angles- Its ass looks ok but thats it- lol

The Ranger6G forum is liking the smaller F150 version front end. It's nothing like the well hyped 23' Ranger Raptor.

I'm sure that we all agree, that a corporation as smart as Ford is, wouldn't collude with its dealers to deliver as many trucks as possible, that are able to be built, by converting them from restricted MSRP customer orders into dealer's stock so they can ADM all of them instead of fulfilling all the current retail orders. It's not like they are asking customers to remove their desired options, for a long awaited vehicle, and still face the possibility of not even getting that less desirable package, and not expecting that would get anyone to give up those options and/or just cancel their order! It's not unlikely that those newly available dealer Mav's will be loaded with all those [now available for them, but constrained from customers], freed up options to justify the ADM. They definitely won't be bare boned versions! No, I'm sure it's just a rumor that any corporation would do anything like that. Just that all those constrained items they want us to drop from ours, are on a burning ship and even dealers can't get them! Just a rumor, nothing to see here!

I am currently driving a 2020 Jeep Compass Limited that gets @27 miles to the gallon. I drive a fair amount - about 20,000 miles a year.
1) I am not changing my order from a hybrid to Ecoboost to get similar gas mileage.
2) I am not deleting my Lariat Lux package to drive a lesser trim package than what I currently have.
3) I am not deleting 360 since adaptive cruise and lane centering are the only things my Jeep does not have that I would like on my next vehicle.
4) I am not in dire need of a truck, so I will keep driving my Jeep.

In other words, I do not plan to make one change to my early July order. The Maverick truck I ordered would meet my needs nicely, anything less will make it easy to pass on the purchase.

That is my situation. Dealer says you get covp when in production. A total lie. I have an email from Ford confirming my order. Ford should adjust their system to send rovp and covp to customer directly. I think my dealer put order in as a dealer order. I sent message to Mike Levine and he responded and passed my information on and had a case number assigned. That was 3 weeks ago. I don't expect any resolve.

They could have fixed it right there. But no, another slap in the customers face for chosing a small volume dealership.
Or for going with the dealer that Ford recommended.

I have a XLT LUX, EB, FX4, AWD,4K on order. Ordered in December. I would cancel and move to a 2023 if they add the Antimatter Blue color as on option for 23. Otherwise I’ll just ride it with it and see what happens.

This letter from Ford has no guarantee's attached. You could drop every constraint but even if you did Ford could still not build your unit in 2022 and you may still have to get in line again for a 2023...

What are you talking about?
Pretty simple, really. I'm talking about the claim you keep bringing up. The one you want people to give you a gold star for. This claim from January 28:
All current and NON-SCHEDULED hybrid orders will not be fulfilled for the 2022 model year. If you haven't been scheduled yet...you will not get a 2022 Hybrid.
People disagreed. Heck, even you recognized that it was wrong. That's why you edited and re-edited your incendiary post until it turned into a tepid claim about your dealer possibly running out of allocations.

Now you're trying to gaslight people into believing that you were right all along and that those folks who disagreed with your "No more hybrids! The sky is falling!" post owe you some sort of apology.

But the internet never forgets...

Look at your DORA (dealer order acknowledgement). That will show if it entered Ford order system as a retail order. DOES NOT INDICATE IF DEALER COMPLETED COVP!
