Dying over the photo you're using!Purrrverts....![]()
This is me in spades CoryDallas8183. Knew wanted the Maverick in June, but had bought both all seasons and Blizzak snow tires on the car last year and did not receive the truck in the winter. No Toyota for me.
But I was just telling my girlfriend, she LOVES hearing about my Mav, I didn’t order on June 8th because I didn’t want the truck in September. Hahahaha. Oh how stupid I was back then, just a kid. Hahaha.
I waited until July to order, the day before the first “call for orders” or whatever it was from Ford to get an idea of the number and balance of trim/engine.
Its so close to the truth it's not funny ..yes it is...Dying over the photo you're using!
We would not be allowed to shop anywhere together...EVER.Its so close to the truth it's not funny ..yes it is...![]()
I’ve been reading this forum for 4 months. The future builds do not look promising. Supply chain and transpiration issues will continue.
I'd walk everywhere rather than have a Chevoray in my garage.
Just going by what he told me. It may be an internal change at the dealership. I know he has no reason to lie to me. I have too many connections in the local media... although I did shoot a commercial for their competition a while back...lolNope. Dealers set the priority code range from 10 to 19. Ford corporate will drop it to a 2 when they are considering it for build scheduling. Corporate Ford has nothing to do with the dealer set priority from 10 up.
The last two weeks of scheduling have almost been exclusively hybrid XLT and Lariat, many with LUX packages, from June and July. But all those people making these claims, like myself, are NOT getting their hybrids scheduled.
This issue is dealer specific.
I've commented on everyone that's ever made this claim since I did nearly a month ago. None of us have since been scheduled, and we all ordered from small dealerships.
Yes, hybrids will still get scheduled in the coming weeks...but not everyone that ordered long ago. Just because others are lucky enough to get scheduled, others that ordered long ago are still getting fucked over and rolled over to 2023s
What would a deposit have to do with it? Ford didn't take a deposit. Dealers did.My understanding is that some dealers have told customers that they didn't need to put down a deposit which may or may not be the case, however, if you put down a deposit, you have a better chance of Ford contacting you directly with information than if you need to rely on the dealership. Feds get a bit frisky when a FTC regulated company takes in money for a product and doesn't deliver.
Aaarrrggghhh!!! Now I'll have to check out my dash cubby for ants that have colonized!I have just the thing for your myrmecophobia.
(BTW, the fear of ants might have evolutionary roots; early humans had to sleep and eat in the open where ants often bit them or contaminated their food. The human brains are thus pre-programmed to feel a disgust response at the sight of ants.)
Once you drive your brand new Maverick for the first time, you will feel more self-confident, secure, bold and powerful. You will no longer fear the once dreaded ant.
You can also check with Ford if you can get the order number from your dealer. I had the order number but I wasn't too concerned as the dealer told me when I ordered it that it could take from 6 to 12 weeks before they built the vehicle. It was about 11 weeks when I got the VIN from Ford and another 5 before it showed up at the dealership.I've lurked this forum for months to get some insight into when my truck might be built and delivered and found it comforting I'm not the only one that has wondered just wtf is going on at Ford. Anyway, I finally called Ford corporate today to see if they had any status on the Maverick XLT Hybrid I ordered last October from a local dealer and which Ford had long ago confirmed via email. The Ford rep told me that parts delays were a problem but are now mostly resolved and it's now transportation from rail yards to dealers that is the major bottleneck. The Ford rep assured me that the truck will be built and delivered within the next few months and they will fill all confirmed orders. They told me to contact my dealer and get a few pieces of info to better determine where I stand in their allocation.
So, I call my dealer and am informed that they just received notice from Ford this morning that no more XLTs or Hybrids will be built this year if they are not already scheduled for production. WTF!! I told my sales rep what Ford had just told me this morning, which is 100% the opposite of what the dealer had just told me and they had no explanation. I plan to call Ford again tomorrow to see what they say in response to what my dealer told me.
My dealer has been keeping me posted on the status regularly and I have no reason to believe they are lying since my sales rep told me she had to make about 10 bad calls to other customers today.
I was hesitant to buy a Ford to begin with, so if it turns out Ford has indeed screwed us, I will never consider them again. What a cluster.
The dealer wanted $500 to order the truck. They had five people while I was there order trucks so I wanted to guarantee my place so I gave charged the $500 to my credit card. It was taken off the price when I purchased the truck so I was fine with it. Though the salesman said that they would order it without the deposit, it was the deposit which guaranteed it wouldn't get sold out from under me. And it also guaranteed that the price wouldn't get inflated which it didn't. I was exactly what they originally gave me as the quote. What would a deposit have to do with it? Ford didn't take a deposit. Dealers did.
is the bag to regurgitate my lunch inHave you thought about going with a low demand vehicle? Checy Colorado might be good. I see 299 in stock near me!
