I consider my Maverick XL Hybrid to be like a nice economic SUV with a small open bed on the back. I'd take an F-150 hybrid in the blink of an eye if it was the same $22,265 that I paid for the Mav.
I have been waiting for a reasonable priced and sized pickup for 26+ years ever since I sold my Chevy luv in 1990's!After two months of driving my Maverick, I got to thinking. Is it the price that is driving sales or the truck it’s self. I love this little truck so much that I would not trade even for a new Ranger or F-150. I keep hearing low price but I think size does matter. Am I the only one that thinks bigger is not always better? If Ford priced all three lines the same what truck would you drive?

Absolutely! I had a Courier that I overloaded, beat up and slept in sometimes. So cheap and useful. Same for a mid 90's Ranger. Now I have a Buick SUV but I need a little workhorse.I have been waiting for a reasonable priced and sized pickup for 26+ years ever since I sold my Chevy luv in 1990's!
Yeah, just think how many they could sell if they had them!Just the Maverick- it is the $5 a gallon gas that has me here
