No, I wasn't asking if it would fit on the driver's side behind the back seats, but under the front driver's seat itself. That way you could feel the bass right on your buns. For example, here's an install on a Honda Accord, with the seat pushed all the way forward so you can see it:
ImageUploadedByAG Free1483307488.431313.webp

But I just realized that is the HS10 meaning 10", whereas the ones I had seen before under the seat were the HS8 meaning 8" which appears to be a tiny bit smaller.

HS8 vs HS10:
Width9-3/8"9-7/8"
Height3-1/4"3-3/8"
Depth14-1/4"14-1/2"
For that, they should both fit, but the underseat ac vent would have to be removed, otherwise it’ll stick put a decent amount. I think I have a picture of how far it sticks out if that vent isn’t taken out (I’ll have to find it, I’d take a new pic as I have an extra HS8 but I’d have to pull the rear floor liner (at a point was thinking about one under each seat)

could find my other pic, but this is basically where it sits without removing that vent (this is the passenger side)
**re-thinking that the HS10 would fit…. That extra 1/4ā€ might be a killer

I cannot tell from the photos whether LadyMav's HS-10 is mounted to the "amp bracket" or if the bracket was removed or flattened somewhat.
I was looking closely at this last night and I see a piece of wood behind the hs10 which leads me to believe the bracket is gone

question for everyone. I was thinking of putting my 1,000w AMP behind the seat and sub's under the seats. Do you think the AMP will overheat?
First off 1K watt amp is way over kill for the truck. Get yourself a good amp 400watt amp and it wont overheat.

I just checked, it is not wood, it's sort of a rubberized tape.

Good looking install— both the Kicker and they sound deadening material. I can imagine the change in sound is fantastic. 🤩
Thank you, it is!

Thanks for checking that. Not sure if you can tell, but did the installers retain the original bracket, or remove it? Also, regarding the vibration, I know you mentioned the sound deadening helped. Do you have any sub-related rattle or buzzing with that location?

I had to go back to my before pictures to see what the original bracket looks like.
It's hard to tell because everything is covered with the black material. It doesn't look like they used the original bracket, or it may be flattened. There is no rattling or buzzing whatsoever.
Now you can see what you thought was wood, this is the before picture.

First thing I get is new tires, second thing I do is this! Audiophiles rejoice. I’ve heard that the battery drain is kinda wonky though? Could an amp mess up the electrical system?

What’s dumb is I had figured that out the night before (as per the two pics below) and when I woke up the next morning I tried to validate when I was responding and that pic fooled me (cuz I didn’t look at the others

on this 2nd picture, can you tell what that screw is mounted to? Sorry, I’m just curious as I’m kind of an enthusiast when it comes to audio installs for the Mav šŸ˜‚)

Thanks for the photo and details. I now plan to mount mine behind the seat also, after soundproofing. Looks like a great install, I appreciate everyone's input on the mounting location question too.

I like over kill LoL this is in my 2001 single cab Ranger. My Orion amp is running at 1 ohm with 2 dual voice coil 10" only 149db at the competitions 😁

I'm old school, when I was competing, I had the original Orion Red Amps. 2 HCCA225's. One amp running at .25 ohms, the other at 1 ohms. Best amps money can buy, have many awards, and 2nd in the PRO 0-100 watt category at IASSCA. My systems were all about stealth installations.

What’s a reasonable price range for this HS-10 setup with install?
