Why would he lie? He didn't tell me about another one on the lot, other options, or try to sell me or get me to do anything. He told me he will contact me once orders for 2023 open up if I want to make any changes. He was busy the entire morning giving the bad news to other people.

He might not have lied to you and his other customers about those trucks not getting built in MY22, but he clearly lied about the reason. Last month he said all unscheduled Maverick orders would be rolled into MY23. (Your thread for reference.) Ford has continued to schedule hybrids since then.

Why would he lie? Either he does not want to admit the dealership won't have enough allocations to fulfill its orders, or he doesn't want to admit they screwed up the orders.

One thing I've learned through this process. Trust no one. Especially people at the dealership. That's their gig. Smooth talk. Hit you with the ADM.

Ordered June 19. Dealer (small, rural mom and pop dealership) told me not to expect a 2022 model. Went out and bought a beautiful, just off the truck Ridgeline a couple weeks ago and could not be happier. I check in now and then to see what is going on here and nothing has changed in months - same stories, nothing further in customer communication from Ford, dealers still clueless for the most part, frustration everywhere, etc., etc. Frankly, no vehicle is worth this.

So happy for you. Now go take your ball and go home. Let us wallow in our own misery. We don't need any help from quitters.

She was excited for me when I ordered and always told me not to give up hope it would show up one day.
