I purchased from a small rural dealership that at the time I ordered told me they had an allocation for 5 mavericks. They've only gotten a few additional allocations since then. All of those Mavericks with the exception of 1 have been delivered. That one is on its way to the dealer now. The Granger and MacArthur Ford thing sounds good and YES they get more allocation, but they have way, way more orders to get that and those customers have to wait and wait. NO THANK YOU!

Haha, from my experience it hasn't been the same experience. Chapman could speak to that. He's getting 100+ Mavericks to his 20-30 Broncos with the same amount of reservations.
But. Is he getting a comparable % of built vehicles. Are they building 3 mavericks to each Bronco?

Exact same reasons here. All BS should have the 2.0, leave the 1.5 for the Escape…
Or the Maverick. :) Just kidding, fellow Maverick travelers.

What many of us have voiced displeasure in ( The Allocation System ) has finally been reported on the Bronco. From that article -

"Ford convinced its most loyal customers to order vehicles months in advance, but the line of reservations has been far from first-come, first-served. Large dealerships are taking priority over smaller stores in the digital queue, primarily disadvantaging rural customers. And Ford has acknowledged hundreds of dealers are charging over the sticker price, which those stores call a “market adjustment.”

Here's a link to the article from Bloomberg without needing a subscription. -

"five years after he put his deposit down" this is beyond crazy on so many levels

I did 26 years in the Air Force and I HAD a $500 military discount lined for Maverick purchase, but it expired in January this year, so that's another slap as far as I'm concerned, because it's not my fault my Maverick, ordered on July 5th, still hasn't been built! Yes gentlemen, I'm with you in not understanding why Ford doesn't offer Vets a discount! 😡
Just reapply for the military discount, it expires every Dec 31. You need a new one for this year and Ford will honor it.

Do you know if they closed the ordering on the Bronco like they did on the Maverick? It's seems asinine if they're still accepting orders when they can't meet current demand!
No. I've been talking to my dealer about ordering a Bronco this week. Ford just invited a few reservation holders last Friday to order the Bronco Raptor. Bronco Everglades ordering is expected to open next month.

If Ford knew how bad the current chip shortage is/will be, they would have cut off ordering even earlier. They botched the demand for the Maverick and maybe their ability to build the product as well.
their cut off dates likely did account for the chips - there were known chips shortages in early fall and they still let the hybrid orders continue until November , it wasn't some dramatic all of a sudden cut off date they put out sort of a warning saying that they were going to be cutting off hybrid orders as they neared their capacity limits and a few weeks later they follwed thru , then then still allowed the eco until January. The chip shortage hasn't gotten worse lately, likely it's been better or at least stayed the same.

?, It seems that all of the Mavericks baking in the Mexico sun right now might disprove the idea that the shortage hasn't gotten any worse lately. Or the fact that Ford has recently pared down production at so many of their plants.

a good number of those are probably waiting for subsequent customization like spray in liners or accessories. the fact that they didn't pare down production on mavericks while they did for a short while on the other products shows that they're not having many problems.

I believe many are waiting on a certain chip regardless of trim/options. The whole automotive industry is impacted by the current chip shortage.

After reading much of this thread I kinda chuckle. Ford doesn't care!

Every once in a while the Ford rep asks a poster for a name and vin. Saying I'm gonna check on this.

Then it's back in their hole for another 2 week nap.

Members here post numerous horror stories. Yet it's all internal to this Forum. If somehow it made the 6 pm news or a headline in the New York Times there might be a reaction.

Until that happens they don't care.
