Exactly. Simple is better. Less electronics. This stuff has enough in it already.
There's a reason they call it a "blind spot." Swivel your head and look all you like and if a vehicle is in that spot you're not gonna see it. I might not need it 99% of the time but the one time it helps me avoid an accident and it's worth every dime. I'm not backing out the CP360 from my order, even if that would help move me up in the line.

I would remove CP360 at this point if it wasn't for the rear cross traffic alert. That's the one feature I really like when backing out with limited visibility. That should have been standard IMO.

Who gives a shit about copilot 360. That shit is for lazy drivers, ass riders or inattentive drivers. What ever happened to actually paying attention, I mean really paying attention when you drove, and turning your head to check your blind spot. People too dependent on these things designed to try to make an inattentive driver, ass rider, or careless driver into a good one. That was one item I looked at , laughed and said well that's a waste of my cash. Be a more attentive driver, put the cell phone down, and drive the vehicle, and dont ride up peoples asses, and you wont need it. None of that is actually needed if you pay attention.
Not needed but it could save you life.

Exactly -- I'm not sure the other parts of it are essential to me, but that rear sensor will be very welcome when backing out of a parking spot with two massive SUVs on either side. Even with the higher seat of a Maverick, it's still impossible to see through blacked out Lexus or Suburban windows on either side of you.

The newer Suburbans in black look like large hearses to me. :D

Just heard @fordvideoguy (Tim Bartz) says that there is some truth about the Hybrid, Co-Pilot 360 and Luxury Package/SIBL delays. View the video below and take a listen, he busted a lot of myths.

It's not that everyone who has these items in their order are moved to MY '23. Or that they definitely will not get built this year. Or production of these have stopped for the remainder of the model year. That is inaccurate.

But what is accurate is that they are now forecasting that now that the order books are closed and they know exactly how many units they have left to build in the '22 Model Year, they now are forecasting they will not have enough parts/components/microships for all the Co-Pilot 360 ordered units, the Luxury Package units and Spray-in Bedliners for every single person who ordered (and such equipped Hybrids as a result). But by the end of production for the '22 MY, they will have enough for most. But many of them may get pushed further out in this year's production as they will be building less of them along the way due to the constraints.

Production of Co-Pilot 360, Hybrids, Luxury Packages and Spray-In Bedliners continue. The production is still happening. But not everyone is going to get them, though. There will be some late purchasers who may end up having to drop these to stay in the '22 Model Year. He went through all the Long McArthur orders scheduled, showing that there are still Hybrid and Luxury Packages being produced this month. Production has not stopped, as some dealers/members have reported. But the constraints are real. He said especially ones with more semi conductor chips (Luxury Package components, like heated steering/seats/tech items, etc.). Hybrids also have more chips and affected too. Ford confirmed to him that they are experiencing Maverick chip shortages.

Dealers are probably calling to encourage some of their buyers to drop these items so their customers can get their units this year. And they make their money this year too. :) And this is probably why we are seeing chatter among members related to dealer calls.

And if some people drop these who do not really want them or were on the fence about them, or not really caring about these items, they will likely build sooner and they may end up having enough for all those who ordered.

Another interesting note is that Tim says you can modify orders, even though the order window is closed. BUT, you shouldn't change Trim levels because it will modify your order date and could put you at the back of the line. You also can't change to Hybrid, of course. You also cannot change if your order is locked by the Region (Priority Code 2) or if you have been scheduled.

WHAT WOULD WE ALL DO WITHOUT TIM?
Can someone explain the priority codes ? I have seen many quoted, but I do not know what they mean. 1,2,9,19, Also what does clean indicate ?

Chevy suburbans suck. I would know, my wife had a 1999 4x4 one. I hated that thing. It never met a gas station it didnt like. I named it Mr. Bourbon. They need to have SUV demo derbies

Convex mirror circles? What kind of "nanny shit" is that? That's as bad as having two side mirrors.

We didn't have that hand-holding crap in my day. We kept our head on a swivel instead of just stupidly looking in the direction we were going.

I knew in the 1960s -- when they started requiring that passenger side mirror -- that it was all going to be downhill from there. And now look at us. Power steering. Power brakes. Cup holders...

And turn signals, for god's sake... What's the matter with your arm?

I don't know what's happening. Nostalgia just isn't what it used to be... :devilish:
I miss the good old steel dash boards. They did as the name implied,, dash your brains out on impact.

Yeah, and what's wrong with the horse. Strap a wagon on it and you got yourself a station wagon.

I just couldn't resist :devilish::sneaky:

I ordered an XLT Hybrid Maverick 6/28/21 and it was confirmed 7/3/21. Nothing exotic, just the basics. should I be concerned I haven’t been scheduled yet? Are people who ordered after me getting their hybrids built before me?

Can anyone (Ford Corp or my dealer) tell me anything? Where I am in the line? What do I need to ask to find out where I am in the queue?

If there is a "system" in place, it confounds logic. I can sympathize with Ford not having parts to meet demand. What I can't excuse is the piss-poor communication with dealers and buyer such that we are completely left to wonder if our orders are in line and that there is some attempt at first-come-first-served fairness in the process.

Ford's promise in their Oct 21 email that gave hybrid order holders the free FITS offer: "Your 2022 Maverick Hybrid pickup will be delivered next year, and rest assured that we'll continue to keep you updated."

Yes other hybrids have been delivered on orders later than yours. You and everyone one else should be told why others are cutting the line. I would write the CEO and every board member and hold them to this promise.

I listed below the Ford people that I wrote to about my experience with the ordering process. I explained what I felt was wrong and pointed out things that Ford stated, but hadn't fulfilled. It took nearly a month before I got positive results.

I'm feeling very fortunate. Mine shipped yesterday (Feb 26). Hybrid XLT lux, moonroof, SBL, Alto Blue, CP360. (Order confirmation Aug 2nd in Oregon)
