You live in Dallas and won't give up heated seats?
Correct. People hear Texas and assume we don’t get cold at night/morning.

And yes, I understand I am using the term “cold” loosely. I am from Nebraska so that’s much colder. I know.

So I wonder if they are wheeling all the hybrids off the assembly line right now out into the fields. I'm kind of glad I ordered a bare bones hybrid XLT with just a back seat power outlet. My build was supposed to be next week (2/7) but did get moved back to 2/28. We'll see, I am expecting the 3 month sit in the field but hoping that it might just get completely build and shipped within the 4 to 6 week time frame.
I am scheduled to be built this week 2/7 also. Hybrid with sibl, inverter, copilot & trailer hitch. I did not get moved back (YET) I ordered 07-20-21 . That is strange!!

My order is Oct 12 Eco Lux 4K Moonroof. I hope I get my order by close out. I think I’m right on the fence. Lets see which October orders fall.
Ordered a couple weeks after you at the end of October. Getting real nervous, damn.

What dose this mean for me? I am confused? I ordered on Oct 13th 2021 Xlt, co360, fx4, spray in, Awd, 4k tow, sun roof, rear window, and bed extender, alto blue.
I got an email over a week ago stating my build will be March 13th. Is that still good? I got a Vin too?

Yeah, I dumb lucked my way into a quickly made truck. Upgrading to lariat primarily for the faux leather seats, I couldn't justify the lux package for the heated seats (would've optioned them if it was stands alone) and the 360 just isn't anything I was interested in. But the bed liner was a bit deal to me.

I think part of the problem was Ford underestimated how many would upgrade to lariat or get the lux packages that they simple do not have enough for all the orders. Maybe if most were base XLs they'd have no problem. But by not letting you customize all the add-ons and have to do packages meant everyone upgrades everything.
Exactly. If I could have chosen separate options I might not have upgraded to lux package. I wish they would remove anything that could be added later like the bed liner. That could at least speed things up I imagine. Even give us a IOU from the dealer if they don’t want to change the pricing.

Did you read my post backwards? Or maybe upside down?

The post I responded to (and quoted) was about the shutting down of the Explorer and Lincoln Aviator lines. I asked if we know whether the particular missing Maverick chip is also used in those lines:Nothing saying the chip "is not used in any other Ford model." Nothing about the Bronco Sport or the Escape. Just about the Explorer and Lincoln Aviator lines.

If you had bothered to read all the way to the end of the line, you would have known that.
Finally received emai Jan 18 built date March 7. Wednesday received email new built date March 18

Heated seats can also be a godsend for people with lower back issues on long drives.

Did you ever think that there are handicapped people out there that don't want to go on disability and drain the system but Want to go out into society and work for them self And be
a productive citizen and maybe they need the co-pilot 360 to help them with their handicap to drive and be productive citizen ever think of that??? 🤔
As the 360 system really helps mostly on crash avoidance and cruise control - if they have to rely on that then they shouldnt and cant drive. You still have to be able to keep a vehicle in a lane and be able to stop a vehicle . I fail to see how the 360 is an answer to the handicapped.

I'm

I just hope Ford can ascertain what they can build and what they can't. Now that all orders are closed now they should have an idea. Then let us know. Don't want to wait 6 months to be told sorry you have to get a 23. Along with the price increase and another wait. Not sure if I would do that.
LOL as we go it will become evident which orders will not be made in 22. They are scheduling for April this coming week.

Right! Who the hell cares about crash avoidance?

Damn those stupid blind spot monitors anyway.

Not to mention rear view mirrors! They're just crutches for the weak of neck.

And windshields! First we allowed goggles and then, before we knew it, glass everywhere!

And don't get me started on brakes...

Ya know, there were articles that Ford was considering sending trucks without chips to dealers to have them install later, I can't imagine how they can consider those logistics and not logistics making the SIBL a dealer installed option. Maybe cost in Mexico is insanely cheaper than if they got dealers to do it. If that's the case, worst scenario allow us to drop it with no discount if we choose, or some small compensation like Ford points etc.
