I plugged the BCM change in, and it works. Nothing different noted on my short test drive.

I plan to leave this value in for the long term, as I believe it is correct for the hybrid.
Thanks for verifying and testing my discovery. While it might not be immediately apparent what the difference(s) may be, I suspect that Ford didn't arbitrarily make two settings for the same function.

@Maverick2022XL, you might want to update your post to reflect these new findings?

Is there a new ABS change? I did the one that Maverick2022XL had found previously, after Tyvemattis's work.
Not that I am aware of. The no-option hybrid XLTs that I checked use ABS 760-03-02 0200 0000 0573.

When connecting with FORScan I am finding BCM_C and not just BCM to enable cruise control. Does anyone know what the difference is or which one to edit?

Thanks for posting this. I have been putting together a list of which modules come with which options.
Looks like your Hybrid has the hitch receiver from the trailer module. Your profile say XL, is this right? Do you have any other options?

The description says it all. You are changing a body control setting not battery.

I believe, based on my small sample (posted below) that @TobyGadd 's numbers are correct. As I said, it is a small (tiny) sample, but there is a clear pattern.

Summation - both sampled XLT hybrids have this code,
726-04-05CB2881418873
and both sampled XLT EB have this code.
726-04-05CB2881408872

This is regardless of any additional equipment installed, including CP360.

I am pleased that we had one "well configured" XLT in the mix, which followed the same pattern.

I will try the hybrid code in my truck tomorrow, and report back. I expect that it will work, and we probably will never know why the difference.

It appears that with the 8140 vs 8141, the last digit (0 or 1) distinguishes EB vs hybrid.

Regarding the 8872 vs 8873 vs 846F, it appears that the second digit (8 vs 4) "turns on" the cruise control, and the last two digit are the checksum.

Note: @Maverick2022XL has reported different values for the FX4 package, refer to his information for that configuration. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...l-descent-non-fx4-all-models.8959/post-182546

== Data =====================

3FTTW8E34NRA28100 = XLT Hybrid, with CP360
726-04-05CB2881418873

3FTTW8E35NRA08986 XLT Hybrid, no CP360
726-04-05CB2881418873

3FTTW8F96NRA27159 = XLT EB, with CP360, AWD, Lux, etc.
726-04-05CB2881408872

3FTTW8E92NRA06522 = XLT EB, no CP360
726-04-05CB2881408872

For comparison to an XL
3FTTW8E31NRA08743 = XL Hybrid, no CP360
726-04-05CB288141846F
To answer @TobyGadd's original question mine which is an XL with a 2.0L ecoboost engine is set to xxxx-xxxx-xx72. I tried xxxx-xxxx-xx73 and it threw a checksum error. I'll update main posted accordingly to make note of that difference.

Thanks for compiling that.

FX4 seems a moot issue, as it's only available on trims that already have CC.
It may not be if FX4 can be enabled later on. I didn't list it but there is another BCM code for 726-04-05 that also activates adaptive CC. It will work with a standard cruise control switch sans adaptive and doesn't throw any codes. The BCM codes stack in functionality. First is no CC. Then the next is CC which also includes no CC functionality. Then there is ACC which also includes CC and no CC functionality.

I don't know where you came up with this but I can say on the 4k tow package there is no TBC module and mine has a factory installed electric brake.

You have an electric brake booster on an XL?? Looking at your post history it looks like you have a 2.0 with AWD and this is contrary to everything I've seen in research and VIN dedicated parts searches on the Ford parts site.

? I have read and reread your response and I still can not understand.
I have to admit to having brain farts!
When your head stops stinking of farts ask yourself this what does the car battery have to specifically do with cruise control besides the obvious that you need it for electrical for the everything else.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_control_module
hint is cruise control an electric accessory or not

No electric trailer brake not booster. Completely different thing, Electric trailer brake is a standard feature in the 4k tow package. You could easily add an aftermarket option for about $30 or so from Walmart for example it just wouldn't be integrated into cluster and other module settings.
