[UPDATE 3/22/22] Dead Hybrid Maverick at 1 month old after getting "Deep Sleep Mode" messages. [Possibly fixed by software update.]

So this happened to me at the dealer before I even accepted delivery. The truck has 72 miles from factory testing and the dealer running it through their prep, etc. As I was pulling in to the dealer to pick it up, he called me with the bad news, it wouldn't start when they were trying to get it out of the prep garage.

I never accepted delivery and the dealership gave me a 21' Egde Titanium worth 16k more than the maverick as a loaner. It was a serious good faith move on their part so I'm hanging on for a bit. Hopefully I get good news on Monday..

Nice, I drove past the dealer I got mine at and they only had about 8 F150s on the lot and 3 EcoSports. They’ll probably give me an Ecosport if I’m lucky enough to get a loaner. Might try a different dealer about 10 miles away and give them a shot.

Pretty soon, people on this forum are going to be bragging about who has the best loaner instead of who has the best Maverick.

Yikes, that sounds like slim pickings. This dealer seemed pretty well stocked actually. It seemed like thay had a little bit of everything, despite shortages. Even had a couple Mach E's floating around. They also had another AWD version of the maverick in the showroom but it's going to be at the Pittsburgh Auto show the weekend of Feb. 18th

Welp... Mine is probably dead. Went out to leave and it was acting like a dead battery, didn't have time to test it so we jumped in another car and I'll test it when I get home. Hope the dealer doesn't bitch about the amp I installed.

Have you got any FordPass notifications or has your door chime played through your steering column instead of the car speakers?

Didn't hear the door chime at the steering column, won't hear it through the speakers as I've got an amp installed and it won't turn on with that low of a load.

Charged the battery up for a bit and it started up, took it out for a drive to charge it up.

Ford pass has these alerts.

So you installed an amp? How did you wire it? Did you make sure it is not powered when the vehicle is off?

Yup, not my first rodeo. It is shutting off, but that doesn't mean the dealer won't wonder if that could be the cause.
If I was the only one having issues I might wonder myself, but since there are others I don't think the amp install is the culprit.

Had 13 volts when I got back from the drive, I put my trickle charger on the battery and I'll let it charge all night. I'll pull the charger in the morning and track the level after a few hours to see if it's dropping.
Tried to schedule service from the app... And it wouldn't let me, pretty annoying that feature doesn't work.

If it’s an emergency problem (IE an issue causing your car not to function or start), your dealer should be able to prioritize you and get you in without an appointment. You will need to call them though. That’s what they did for me when I called my service advisor to tell him about the issue the first time.
