The remote that comes with it is to adjust the sub level, not necessarily on/off. That's why I installed it. It's just an rj45 wire. As far as saving some money on a smaller unit, that's up to you. I would venture to say the smaller, 8" one would be sufficient to balance out the rest of the...

So, I gave it a shot. This cheap little kit was about $160 on Amazon. Had everything I needed for the sub wiring. Pulled panels all the way to the rear speakers, skinned a section near the factory connector and soldered my speaker leads for each channel, ran to hi level inputs for auto on/off...

Happens to me constantly.

I just had this happen to me yesterday. I thought I was tripping and there was something stuck to my tire. I turned the podcast I was listening to off and it stopped.

I didn't take these photos myself. These are from the dealer when they discovered the issu and started digging into it. This is from the day I was supposed to accept delivery. It took a few weeks longer for them to come up with a temp repair, which has seen been replaced with a new harness.

I feel like I just saw a small Escape hybrid recall recently for this same thing. They called it something like insufficient weld pentetration on the Solder joint. I feel like it might be coming for the Mav.

My chime plays through the column speaker if I keav emy key in the ignition for even a few minutes. Starts every time and have never had a Ford pass notification.

If you take the keys out of the ignition and its supposed to stop. That sound is to let you know that the keys are in the ignition and the driver door is open, so you don't lock your keys in of your on your way out. If you have a keypad, then yeah, its pointless.... Also the ford pass app...

It was a faulty wiring harness on the 12v side of the system. Here is a sceencap of my original post explaining a little more detail.

I had my truck in to the dealer this week for that harness swap out. They had it for about a day and a half. No issues since they finished it up. Also, this dealer loves giving me loaner vehicles worth a lot more than the Mavvy. This is what they have me for the day. (2022 F-150 STX) 😂

I just got the call my harness is in too. I'm scheduled to drop mine off on Monday. They said they have a loaner ready for me. (They were able to do a temporary repair on mine until now, so I've been driving it. 1200 miles already on the temp repair)

This should end up being a recall.
