Multi-month delay for February 2022 deliveries - Why?

My build is 02/14. Ordered 10/11, Panama City Beach, Fl. Dealer says haulers have been showing up (only 5 units) about 3 weeks after production. I hope this is true. I'm kinda tired of nursing the odo on my trade-in. Ford botched this launch BIG TIME! Second thoughts ordering '23 Lariat. This deal isn't quite the ride I had expected. Frustrating. At times I just want to cancel just for spite but I'm gonna lay low just like yo guys here. We will get our truck THIS YEAR!

As I've posted here before, I ordered the XL on 110/11, build 2/22. I ordered THIS model because I saw the "Chip-Show' that was going on with the upper models. I'm having seconds thoughts on the Hybrid order I had planned for August. I don't think so at this point. It may not arrive until '25!

Making chips is no joke. I worked at a chip fab factory for a few months 25 years ago ()in upstate New York. Anybody been in a clean room before? Where you have to wear special clothes and take an air showe? Wear rubber gloves for 12 hours and touch as little as possible? High tech sensitive machines, special lighting…it goes on and on.
With that said let’s bring chip production back to the USA. It looks like it’s starting to happen although it’ll take time and won’t get us our trucks any sooner. Needs to happen.

Right. FITS Kit no longer enough. Something like 10,000 bonus Ford pass points to get an extra oil change. That’s chump change compared to the money they’re now getting from raising rates on ppl that they couldn’t deliver to when they were supposed to…

Perhaps the delivery delays are due to the shortage of chips used in the transport trucks.

If you cancel an order, your dealer will mark it way up and sell it at a nice profit.

That may be reflected when you get an "estimated delivery date"

It's hard to believe Ford Canada is actually including a box of Kraft Dinner with each FITS Kit...wouldn't work in the US though since everyone knows Kraft Mac & Cheese in the US is inferior to Kraft Dinner in Canada.
