So what electronic modules are they waiting on?

We know the factory does not install chips, they install modules that contain multiple chips. If their supplier can't get the chips they can't make the modules to supply to the Factory.

Did anyone with a plain XL with no options, no CP360 or anything else get this delay? EcoBoost or Hybrid?
Yup got the delay this morning, I specifically ordered it with the least amount of chips in mind to hopefully avoid delays. Guess that didn't work out for me!

XL, AWD 4K tow package.

Was just at my dealer looking at a Mach E ,my wife ordered one and he had one come in in another color that a customer didn't want we passed , But anyway my Sales guy was getting all nervous ,so I said what's up Jeremy? As my truck has been shipped . He said lets go check he went on his computer and said with a sigh of relief "thank God your truck is in Illinois!" Then he went on to say there is a ton of trucks in Mexico both Eco and Hybrid in production and some even marked as shipped that need chips and are sitting in Mexico...... I don't know what he knows or doesn't know I am just repeating WHAT HE SAID

Hopefully Tim Bartz will shed more light on this subject tonight. All that I know is that I would prefer to have multiple delays to my build date and have a 100% built truck that can be delivered right away rather than a build that gets 99.9% complete and parked out in the field for 3 months waiting on something they didn't have when it came through the assembly line. I've been delayed once so far from 2/7 to 2/28. I'll take another delay rather than the dreaded "parked in the field" alternative.

Ford with an earnings miss. Stock at 18.65 as I type this. Yesterdays close $20.63, todays close $19.89, earnings announced after market close.

We will see what the conference call brings and how much they discuss component shortages.

I know a company's primary responsibility is to their stockholders, I get that.
Ford typically bends over backwards to provide stockholders promising news.

Secondarily to that, the ones that actually fuel this machine are the product consumers, those of us handing over our earnings for their product. I cannot in any way, shape, or form, believe that Ford didn't see this coming. They should have warned their customers (dealerships and end-purchasers) that this was coming. I got a happy notice in early January congratulating me that my truck was in production and that should take "a few days".

This is my second rodeo with trying to buy a Ford this past year.

So when the Ford Vehicle Order Tracking webpage/tool actually works, a customer can see the window sticker for the ordered Maverick. Lots of details across the top.

At the very bottom middle of the sticker is a bald date. Mine changes every once in a while, with no other apparent changes to any other data field on the sticker. So, having saved screen shots of the sticker, I have versions dated 1/7 and 1/21 and 1/25 and now 2/3 ...

Who here knows and will say: what does this date physically represent?
That's just a date. It updates about weekly until your final papers are cleared.

However, just above that is a box with another date in it, in small print. That's your blend date. That's the date they believed they had all the parts needed to build your truck and it was being sent to the plant. Mine is 12/15. It arrived at the plant on 12/16. See my signature for what happened after that. All good luck to you! 🍀

None of us here (or on the Bronco Sport forum or on the Bronco Forum) should be surprised at the Chief Financial Officers statement given what we are seeing with our orders.
