One thing that I wish was on the Co-Pilot and maybe it will be added on the MY23 for additional fee, is a Birds Eye View cam. I hoped that at least the Lariat would have it on as an option
Im shocked it 360 doesnt even include backup sensors on XL or XLT or even make it an option, thats like the most basic and important item for "360" protection.

Why does everyone appear to think that MY23 will solve everything and the chips will magically appears. An order reset for MY23 only present another year of hope and pray that our Mavericks will get built. I will be listening to the Ford investor call after they announce quarterly earnings. Might learn the full picture.
I'm betting most of the bugs will be resolved.

Maverick Jesus again with the dunk- So if he is saying a trim change to an order resets your place in line- I probably lost two months by having my dealer take a couple weeks to officially update mine to a Lariat- Ugh- Are hybrids with Lariat/Lux more delayed than Eco/Lariat/Lux ?

Yes. They THINK so, because hybrids require more chips. But apparently the lux packages are a problem across the board, though it's unclear if that's all lux packs or Lariat lux packs, which also include the Co Pilot 360.

Still doesn't explain why ecoboost with all the extras (lux, 360, etc) are getting scheduled and hybrid not. There is more to this story even Tim doesnt know yet.
He didn't say they don't have ANY chips. Hybrids with the extras are scheduled too but are being pushed out some because just the fact that it's a hybrid means it's even more chip-dependent. Couple that with the extra chips needed for the luxury package, especially for the Lariat, and that's our main problem: chips.

Curious how this plays out. Seems like Ford’s Order stop came a bit too little too late - but I’m sure forecasting constraints is really difficult these days. But the net result is that there appear to be some serious challenges in getting some of these orders built and like musical chairs some will be left out / pushed to MY23.

Let’s hope that is all this is and does not become worse. I’m XLT Eco AWD FX4 4K 360 Moonroof with a build date of 2/21 and currently Priority 2 so should be OK…but if that pushes and others like it you can assume that the constraints are worse than expected IMHO.

I’m also thinking that there is a pending avalanche of orders that Dealers did not do correctly and those same dealers can no longer delay. Will be a chaotic next few months - good luck to all

I agree. I just think there is more to the story with a studden stop on built trucks from shipping. More than chips issue going on in Mexico.

My order is early Oct - Lariat Luxury Hybrid. I will not be changing anything about it. If it gets pushed to 2023, that’s fine with me.. though I hope I was early enough to avoid that.

Either way, I am not concerned. I know I will get what I ordered eventually, and likely this calendar year.
I share your same thoughts. We ordered our trucks the way we want them, so let Ford build our trucks even if it is a 23 model. This is Fords problem not ours and we should not have to modify our orders just to meet Fords needs.

I inquired about dropping the SIBL for my hybrid XL ordered on 10/15. My salesperson advised against it saying I could be moved to the back of the line or to a 2023. Hmm.
Personally I think your salesperson is wrong. The SIBL is a major constraint and has been for long time. If anything will push your order into MY23 it's going to be that SIBL. I'd remove it and have it done locally, but that just me. However, with the books now closed on orders for MY22, Ford has a much better idea of how many orders need the SIBL and can decide how to address the problem. Personally I think they should reach out to everyone with SIBL and ask them to either drop it and receive a slight price reduction or change it to DIBL. I also think we're going to see more orders with later order dates getting build dates because they either don't have SIBL or they have DIBL. There's still going to be orders getting build dates that have SIBL, but I'm guessing it's going to be a smaller number because of the restraint. Oh and let's not forget about the chip shortages, which adds more restraints!

Hope lots of people drop that lux pack. I'm not dropping mine. Glad I did not select the CoPilot 360.

Also I'm an XLT and they had already dropped the SIBL by the time I ordered so I'm getting a drop-in. Wonder if there is anything else in the XLT lux pack that's constrained.
I'm not changing mine either. I am in no rush whatsoever. Build me a '23 with a wide screen and rear defroster lol.

I called my dealer about dropping the hard roll up bed cover and they said the same thing. If 2% are only being built with that cover I'm probably stuck until 2023 anyway. What dealer did you purchase from?
Hassett Ford in Wantagh, NY.
