So this Honda hybrid would be close to same price as new F150 lightning (full electric crew cab w/awd) at $40k starting price. I do agree the Honda is a nice vehicle, but again maverick is a lot cheaper and appeals to more people due to price as once you're into the $40k+ range there's alot of other competition.

Ridgeline STARTS at $37,700
Honda hybrids cost about $2,500 more than their gas versions.
so i would guess Hybrid Ridgeline will be
$39,995

also the next generation ford ranger is coming this summer. With a rumored 2.3 power boost. I bet that will be cheaper too.

Yeah that’s going to cost $45,000+ I’d imagine.
The real question is, can you order one and get it sooner than 8 months. 🙄😐😵💫😐

The ridgeline is a great "truck" but it's just too expensive to compete with the Maverick. Couple this with the fact that if you compare specs it's barely bigger in terms of interior space and cargo space you'd have to really like the styling and Honda nameplate better to justify the price difference for *most* buyers. I will say that the in bed trunk is a really really great feature but otherwise the Maverick is a much much better value.
I was actually commited to buying a Ridgeline before I learned about the Maverick. The only off putting thing to is that Honda's 3.5L V6 has timing belt and that was a bit off putting to me. Also seeing the bone stock one going for 36k msrp was another turn off. With how much I spent on my Stock ordered Maverick (34k OTD w/tax etc) I feel like I got a bigger bang for my buck.

Rumors of Honda Ridgeline Hybrid have been floating around since 2021. Article was from August 2022. Nothing on Honda website about a hybrid Ridgeline coming soon. I loved my Honda Accord Hybrid and would consider paying extra for Ridgeline hybrid (especially since my early July Maverick hybrid is still unscheduled and having serious doubts about getting the truck).

You definitely are paying for the name, Remember the Izzu trooper it was the Honda Passport re-branded and was at least 5K cheaper

Rumors and nothing more.
In 2020, they said a Ridgeline hybrid could happen for 2021. It didn't

So right, so can make even roomier.
Doubt it, that would require a major redesign along with all the certifications that go along with it. Ridgeline is pretty low volume for Honda and it was redesigned pretty recently. Good luck waiting for it to be made any bigger, I would bet that it's not going to happen anytime soon.

and the Ranger is the most accurate comparison to Ridgeline because both are mid-size trucks, not compact like Maverick.

I ordered my Maverick in June. Dealer said he does not know if I will ever get a build date and has no answers. Ford says just to hold on as they are committed to building all 2022 orders. Don't know who to believe.

I was one of the first Honda Ridgeline owners in Texas back in 2005 when the first Ridgeline made its debut as a 2006 model. It was the best vehicle I ever owned and had it trouble free for seven years. I sold it to my buddy who drives it to this day with no problem. I believe the Ridgeline has improved quite a bit since then.

Although it much more costly than the Maverick, it is bigger and more capable in many areas. I think I will seriously look again at the Honda since my Maverick may never be built. I don't think there will be much trouble finding a suitable RIdgeline as almost all Honda dealers have a couple in stock or on the way. Waiting since June for a build date with one not even in sight is just too much. Should a miracle happen and I get it sometime this year, I will probably buy it as well and try to sell it for a few thousand more than I paid for it.

Since the new 6G ranger is coming out this year, you might get some crazy good deals on rangers.
