I am surprised by the number of incompetent Ford dealers out there. Not knowing how to place a order makes me wonder how they order regular inventory.
It does seem crazy that some dealers are forgetting to do this. It is a new process though. The COVP started at first to get a special rebate for ordering certain vehicles when the stock inventory dropped. Then they added ROVP this summer for Mavericks. And later they made dealers use COVP or ROVP for essentially all retail orders. So this was a fairly new process for dealers in June. But there is no excuse because Ford did clearly inform dealers that they needed to do this extra step!

There is still time to update ROVP. If the order is in the system i think they have a day or so to complete ROVP.
Ford marketing said order will process for MY22 if dealership completes rovp....called them for 3rd time today.

If you don’t have a build date, you will be bumped out to 23 MY. I work for a dealer group that has several Ford dealers within it, and I've seen it first hand.

I know I'm not a reputable source of info, I've only got one post, but I typically hang around Toyota forums and I've been proven as a reputable source over there, feel free to check yourself.

That is just not true. Check out the videos from @fordvideoguy on YOUTUBE. Lots of orders still to get build dates or they are shutting down the plants come April.

This is what you need to see from your dealer if they can't/won't show you then they screwed up as simple as that. Circled in red is the important part, just because your order was submitted and confirmed doesn't guarantee you will get a truck this year. Get your dealer to take a screenshot or show you the "view status screen". Once again order submitted and in order processing don't help you at all. That's why the entire collecting your ID and down payments and all that was for...verifying the order...you need that secondary to show unscheduled clean if you're order is gonna get picked up.

New member, long time looking at site. Salesman called today to say order has to be moved to MY23 due to Ford cutting off orders. I am quite upset. Placed order October 21 and received email from Ford next day. I asked salesman for rovp and he did not know. Said they do covp. I asked for copy and am waiting. He also asked for copy of license which I gave at time of order. I called Ford marketing and my order is in their system awaiting scheduling.
My question is the dealer pulling a fast one or did not put in covp or rovp. I am confused as to what each document is. Any insight would help.

Interesting. My dealer called me several weeks ago to confirm my build sheet (not order confirmation). The salesman I previously had quit and this new guy would be my point of contact now. He also mentioned something about how his dealership screwed up submitting Maverick orders due to some "portal" that they didn't know they were supposed to use. He assured me mine was submitted correctly now (originally ordered 11/12/21, conversation on 1/10/22). I followed this form pretty closely and haven't heard of any portal mumbo-jumbo before, so I assume he was filling my ear prepping me for a long wait.

Weird part was I called Ford during the holidays to check on my order. I just had the order number. It took the guy a while to find it but he did. He didn't alert me to anything out of the norm and that "I should expect to be scheduled mid January".

Here we are late January and still not scheduled.

I emailed my dealer to ask for a copy of the COVP/ROVP.

edit: I ordered 11/12/21 and got an email confirmation same day. Because of this, I thought I was good to go. Calling Ford and seeing my order reassured me my order was fine. How is it possible so many dealers effed this up?

The dealer is full of it..@fordvideoguy @TimBartz has explained this in detail on his live chats every Tuesday. Ford isn't even taking MY23 orders yet & won't until late summer so you'll basically be starting over from scratch

The dealer still would have had to do the ROVP and submit your licensing info. If that part was not done then your order will just sit there and not be picked up. I'd be going to a dealership raising some HELL for answers. They have until 7 PM tonight to confirm your order with FORD. You'll have an order in the system, but it won't get picked up by Manufucturing to Build.
Actually the order banks are closing for orders tonight. The dealers have until next Tuesday, I beleive or Wednesday to submit to ROVP or you are out of luck till MY23

When in doubt call Ford's customer care #100-334-4375
And hopefully they can answer your questions
