Dealership called wanting to move order to MY23

Ford marketing doesn't pull the orders for scheduling. The factory does.

So factory can still pull my order because it is in their system? It's late and am I tired and very ticked off if no chance to get MY22...this is crazy stupid if so......

Called 3 times today and the only thing they can tell me is order is in system waiting for production call. They can't or won't be specific about rovp.....crazy system.

New member, long time looking at site. Salesman called today to say order has to be moved to MY23 due to Ford cutting off orders. I am quite upset. Placed order October 21 and received email from Ford next day. I asked salesman for rovp and he did not know. Said they do covp. I asked for copy and am waiting. He also asked for copy of license which I gave at time of order. I called Ford marketing and my order is in their system awaiting scheduling.
My question is the dealer pulling a fast one or did not put in covp or rovp. I am confused as to what each document is. Any insight would help.

Call customer service, they would tell you but if you have a confirmation I would be suspicious. If CS doesn't know anything I would file a complaint. Sounds like they want to sell it at a HUGE MARKUP!!! Ford not taking 2023 orders 'till August.

Only your dealer can look up your ROVP info. Ford Cust service doesn’t have access to it.

Well IMO they should have access to the ROVP system. Maybe that would solve the problem of incompetent dealers who don't know how to complete a verified Maverick order from lying to customers. Saying Ford cancelled their order they placed many months ago. When it's their fault for not knowing what their doing.

I agree. I don’t know why Cust service can’t view that info. It would have more clarification about customer orders done correctly. Ford needs to reorganize their ordering system because the current system is pretty poor.

Just called Ford. I’m a Nov hybrid order and they confirmed order and ROVP. Took less than 5 minutes.

This is good to know. I thought I saw a post awhile back saying Ford Marketing could confirm the order is in the system but not that ROVP has been submitted. That would be a bad flaw in the process if there was no way to independently verify ROVP.

I am amazed that this is an issue for some dealers. Talk about a good way to never get a customer bad and possible bad feedback.

The last thing I need is another J*b, but Ford seriously should hire me to lead the revamping their dealer and customer facing IT systems.

They have a reservation system, a separate web dealer order system, yet another customer/retail verification system that has to be done before an order is really an order, VINCENT, and different channels (customer touch points) who can't see what the other touch points are doing. Granted, I'm not a dealer (or Ford customer service rep), but it seems like an I/T cluster f*ck.

I do understand this...many, many businesses in the past had separate IT systems that were created this way due to time to market considerations (or more realistically turf wars), but man oh man, I worked with clients OVER A DECADE AGO to integrate all of this kind of crap. Here we are in 2022 with thread after thread discussing how broken the Ford order generation and management systems are.

Not unless the ROVP documents (verification of customer) were submitted on time and APPROVED.

If either were not done then that the order will not be built however your order will still show as an order to Ford.

So NO you cannot assume you are good.

Many many here have assumed that they have a good order in at Ford only to find out that the dealer didn't either do the ROVP or that the ROVP was not approved. Those are now finding out that their orders will not be built and the dealers are lying that Ford is either canceling their order or that their order will be a MY2023. The lie is because the dealer screwed up and did not follow the required procedure that Ford sent to the dealers along with warnings that the ROVP was not sent in or that it was not approved.

Called Ford customer service @ 800-334-4375, and told them what the dealer said. Her reply was, "ummmm... that's absolutely not true." She looked up my order using the sales code and order code from my preview order, and said that I was in the que to still get scheduled. She did say that the ROVP was not done correctly, like it was unfinished, but from everything that she can see that it is still good to go. I let my dealer know this info, and he said "well our new rep said they aren't scheduling anymore hybrids to be built, but I hope he's wrong and I'm leaving your order as is anyway."
Something is fishy, sounds like the dealers are either badly misinformed or just straight up lying and playing games.

Your order will not be built because the ROVP was not approved.

If you ordered a Hybrid the dealer has screwed you as the date for having the ROVP approved by was long ago on November 17th.

Your dealer can confirm whether they submitted your order to the verification system, and you can call Ford at (800) 392-3673 to verify the existence of your order in their system and also check the verification status.

Just called the number and confirmed my order was in the “system”. I had previously been to the dealer and they showed me a printout that my truck was ordered, but it certainly was comforting to hear it on their end. They also gave me my order number and sales code. Sadly, not in production yet…hybrid! Thanks for supplying the phone number and so forth.
