A person with character and will only accept an agreement is rare. Most people pay the $800.00 and consider it nothing more than a blip and are flippant about your decision but I say bravo. It is just a truck let someone else pay 5-10,000 more.
I agree. It's not the dollar amount, rather the principle.

in the bigger picture, this is sort of a sad commentary on where we are as a society. The OP is not the 1st one here to look for any small discrepancy in a month's long process and is ready to pick a fight or walk away- BEFORE EVEN GOING TO RETRIEVE HIS TRUCK. BEFORE finding out if there was a mistake somewhere, or a simple misunderstanding. For all he knows if he had simply let it ride and showed up, everything would have gone smoothly and everything at purchase would have been exactly the way it was presented and documented when he confirmed his order. All I can do is SMH when I see this sort of stuff, and be glad I can leave my order process on the back burner and enjoy the pleasant things in life and make the most of the time I have left instead of wasting any of it being what my mom used to call an "injustice collector" 🤕
No Joke. This thread was a complete waste of time and I want the 15 minutes of my like back spent on a post concerning someone who just walked away from something we all have all be waiting months to receive. The time to walk away, if one really wants the truck, is when its ready for delivery and they try and change the terms.

*yawn* Yeah, yeah, yeah....the world was a perfect rosy wonderland full of magical harmony 30, 40, 50, 60....however many decades ago. Anyone younger than me is a repellant, odious grifter who'd just as soon step on my throat as give me a smile....a little ironic that these sentiments are being expressed on the internet, I figured we'd be in another dark ages by now with the way the youth are headed. smh
Fun at a party I bet.

Sounds like my upbringing was different than yours.

Sorry, I just get tired of the same old disparagement of younger generations by older over and over and over again.
My original post had nothing to do with age. Trust me in my many years have been around users older, younger.

the thread reminds me of being at the circus as a kid. Sitting there watching the usual animal and freak show acts, when eventually a little tiny car rolls out and drives around a little before stopping in center ring. Suddenly like 25 clowns pile out of the little car and start spazzing out all over the place.

I get tired of (unfounded) disparagement of Boomers by the following generations- when every good thing they have in their lives is taken for granted, but was provided to them by the exact same Boomer generation they complain about.

I get tired of boomers who think the generations after them have the same opportunities as they did. My boomer father decided one day to walk up to a Ford factory, which were plentiful back then, fill out a one page application, and be set for the rest of his life. High school education, no student loan debt, no pre-screening interviews, or multiple interviews, or resume. Got to retire in his mid-50's. That opportunity for my generation was gone. That Ford factory is now an Amazon distribution center that pays people half the wages. I guess this is the bootstrap mentality boomers are famous for. I wish I could have just walked into a Ford factory and be set for life like my boomer father.

Having back issues for almost a month now, so I have been spending wayyy too much time on the internet and maybe my eyes are blurry, but I still don’t see what the issue is here. What is the reason for not buying the Maverick ?

The $890 price increase. It's the principle of the thing...

I get that, but nobody is cheaper than me. If I had waited months for something I really want , I could live with that. Has the OP put in for one of the discounts, like the $500 Farm Bureau one ?
