I haven't set the Maverick up for flat towing yet, but my decision on the hybrid was driven by the ability to flat tow this behind our motorhome. Problem may be that the Transit can only tow 3500 and the maverick is heavier. I may have to trade the motorhome to a F350 or F450 to allow ne to tow...
It's been a long haul for me from ordering my Cactus Gray XLT with spray in bed liner back in July, 2021. I finally took delivery on April 15, 2022 and paid MSRP. I must admit that going without a vehicle for four months ( as my lease had been returned in December 2021 ) made me really...
THIS IS why I have stopped viewing this site with any regularity. The negative feedback from others when someone cites a simple question about "where is my Maverick?"
I ordered mine in early August and just recently was provided a VIN number and projected build date at the end of March. Yes...
Just got my VIN number and build date for my XLT Hybrid with spray in bed liner and co-pilot 360. Build date is 3/28. Hopefully mine is part of the "clean up" that week, meaning they are playing catch up with orders placed early. My order date was 8/12. It will be eight months or more from...
Congrats for submitting an order before the deadline. Just to calm your nerves, I placed my XLT Hybrid on August 12th and still have never received further information from Ford other than the confirmation email the day of my order, which stated my vehicle will be built when available. I'm in...
That's right because the base model will more than likely not be $1995 after 2022. Just my opinion.
My end of July order will hopefully be built soon, take a month-long rest break in the warm Mexico desert parking lot; then get the finishing touches (add missing parts), to then make its way...
Thanks for the honest and incredibly positive review. It is very comforting to read a post on this forum that is not filled with hate and negative opinions. I applaud your positive approach to your writing. It gives us hope that others will enjoy their Maverick the same as you. May you have...
And less than a week later from the original post, Ford is identifying dealers who charge mor than MSRP and plan to limit or remove their future allotments due to unfair pricing practices. The madness has got to stop, along with the angry people on this thread who try to justify why anyone...
Sad, but true. As someone who follows your video reviews, I consider you a man of intelligence and integrity. The intention of the OP was to provide insight to those who may not recognize the impact paying more than MSRP may have on them in their individual circumstances. Yes, everyone wants...
THANKS I am so happy to read that someone has common sense. I guess some people value a dollar earned more than others. Good luck in your Maverick adventure!
Thanks! That was the entire point of this thread. Should have known you were a fellow Utahn. I'm now in CA, but recognize integrity when I read it. Have a great day and good luck with your Maverick purchase.
Wow! That's great. In CA we pay sales tax at time of purchase and then a yearly tax based on current value each year which decreases as the vehicle ages. We also pay a license fee each year in addition to the value tax. Car license plates remain with the car when you sell or trade it. Very...
I'm in the same situation as you. Retired and comfortable. I am able to pay over MSRP, but feel for those who cannot. I only chose the Maverick Hybrid because I could tow it behind our motorhome replacing a four door jeep which has a stiff ride.
Thanks for your thoughts. You misundertsood my comments if you feel this was an obituary. I currently own two other newer Ford products and have NO personal feelings towards this company. Sears and K-Mart did not keep up with "the times" as you say, and that is true. Ford has not been...
