Thanks for posting this. I had to go rescue my BIL at christmas because he didn't know how to get the lug nut covers off, didn't know where the jacking points were and broke his jack. He also didn't have gloves or a flashlight in his car. So he and his mom got stuck on the side of a busy highway on a cold night where AAA said it would take them 2 hours to get help to them.

Pretty useful information for those of us who have never dropped a truck tire before. I wonder if an impact could be rigged to do all the turning and jacking...

Given how time consuming it is to get the spare from underneath, I'll probably figure out some way to mount that spare to sit up in the front corner of the bed. That will make it easier to ensure it's always inflated as well.

It’s actually 148 ft lbs. You’re in luck, I looked up my torque wrench and it’s a killer deal at homedepot. I think I paid $80 a few years ago.

So what was that second cable on the spare? a sensor, or just a second securing point?
