It would be great if one other person could attempt to replicate the problem I'm having...then we would know if it's a Forscan issue or a my computer issue.
I have the adapter and FORSCAN. But I'm not familiar with the program. If you wanna tell me what to do i can try on my side l.

Ok, some sorta-progress. Another person on the facebook group got a beta version that has better Maverick support. I'm able to see more modules and there's some new human-readable configuration pages for the BCM and IPC.

HOWEVER, the drive mode write for the ABS module still has the same problem as before.

Now that I know to not use the Forscan forums, I've sent my logs and an email to the Forscan support team. Hopefully they are able to work on a solution. In the meantime I think there's a few things I can try to mess with. Will post up anything successful.
Can you send me this version. I can’t get those options to show up!

So, it turns out what I was guessing is actually correct. It seems like any combination of drive modes can be set up as detailed below. I've only checked a couple combinations so more testing is needed to confirm the mode combination codes. When you have more than 5 modes, it just adds them to the list on the sides. All the animations work, screen turns red on Sport etc.

On the FX4 and non-FX4, registers 760-04-01 and 760-04-02 are identical.

But, if you compare 760-04-03 and assume the drive modes follow the same format as the F150 760-04-01, then you get the following:

NON FX4
06B:
Mode 6 / Mode 7 / Mode 9 / Mode 11 / Mode 12

FX4
1E1:
Mode 4 / Mode 5 / Mode 6 / Mode 7 / Mode 12

Just guessing here, but::

Eco 9?
Normal 6?
Sport 11?
Slippery 7?
Tow/Haul 12?
Sand 4?
Mud/Ruts 5?

So, tomorrow or Sunday I'll try the following tests and see what happens...if changing the modes is even possible, I'm not sure if we can have more than 5 at the same time:

Replace 5 (mud?) with 9 (eco?)
169

Replace 5 (mud?) with 11 (sport?)
163

Replace 4 (sand?) with 9 (eco?)
0E9

Replace 4 (sand?) with 11 (sport?)
0E3

FX4 Add 9 (eco?)
1E9

FX4 Add 11 (sport?)
1E3

There's still a problem though. When you go to select a drive mode that's not supposed to be there, a dialog comes up on the display a couple seconds later saying it's not supported and you get kicked back to normal mode. I haven't tried on Eco but I'm assuming it's the same.

I just tried driving around at steady speed switching back and forth between normal and sport. When I switch to sport the vehicle downshifts and brings the revs up, and then I get the message and it goes back to normal mode and the revs drop back down. So, I know the drive mode is in there...it's just kicking me out.

As I mentioned a couple posts ago, there are two other registers that are set for FX4 vs non-FX4. Unfortunately I can't write to either of them....one gives me a "security key is wrong" error and the other gives me an "incompatible configuration" error. My guess is that it's the IPC configuration determining which modes are allowed, which would mean that we'll have to crack the code on that register as well.

I've sent updated logs and screenshots to Forscan so hopefully they can assist in writing to those other 2 values.

This is starting to get juicy. I’m tempted to order a cable and start tinkering now.

Is a ~$20 cable with the switch decent or is it worth it get the forscan recommended one for $50 that auto switches speeds. Guessing those are more reliable than the cheapos too.

I don't really know for certain, but after a little browsing of the forscan forums there's some people having issues on cheapo adapters. In my opinion it's not worth the savings to get something basic...but who knows?

I read some one modified to get all the modes but would get a error on the screen after a few seconds about a wrong code and go back the normal mode.

I just want to verify all your modes are working while driving.
