I know, I question a lot of these posts lately. Tuning hybrids, pinstriping, cat cages, bitching about recalls, and now the club. 🤦‍♂️
Maybe it is boredom with waiting. Or a first new car for someone and they're overprotective. This is mostly a great forum, though.

No problems here. Just be aware a lot of this stuff is a false sense of security. "The Club" will deter no one.

I might be able to help you out, can you send me an AOL instant message. I'll go grab my paper map and give you directions. I think you turn left at Blockbuster and the Sears is on your right. Sears will have the beat deal.

The club won't do anything really and are easy to defeat. Kill switches (if done correctly) work pretty well and I intend to install one.

Cat cages are totally worth it if you live where it is a problem. They are stolen on the daily in the city and without a cage they are in and out in less than a minute.

70+% of cars in my city are stolen when idling with the keys inside it. Don't do that and you already are well on your way to keeping your vehicle safe.

Don't leave your car idling, don't leave backpacks or valuables in it, don't leave it unlocked, don't leave things that might seem valuable, park it off street as much as you can, close your garage door, don't leave your keys anywhere easy to steal and get a cat cage. That will solve the majority of your problems.

I always figured stuff like this will not prevent a car thief from stealing your car but it WILL POSSIBLY deter the meth head roaming around the streets high from stealing your car and s/he will just make a go at the next car over in the parking lot. Worth a few bucks for that.

Yep. None of this stuff will never prevent thefts and other stuff. All your doing is making your stuff less of a target so they will
  • Move on to another target
  • Decide it's not worth the hassle/risk
  • Not be tempted with an opportunity
If someone is determined to take your stuff, they will. Nothing can 100% stop that.
