The biggest thing wrong with The Club is that it's super annoying to use, and then store while you're driving.

I actually had one for my 1972 MGB. It really was a pain to store and after awhile I was just too lazy to be bothered. The car was never stolen...the best anti-theft device in the world was a Lucas electrical system.
I remember a "60 Minutes", I think, episode when the club first came out out. They were interviewing an ex professional car thief.
"Suppose there are 2 identical Porsche sitting on the street. One has a Club and one doesn't. Which would you steal?"
He answered, "No brainer, I'd take both."
If your worried about neighbor kids. fine but against a pro, good luck.

The club will slow them down a bit, BUT any good thief knows remove the wheel or I've seen them hacksaw the wheel in minutes and there gone and so is your new mav. Most PROs are towing vehicles these days so watch how and where you park.

Bottom line is if they want your car they are going to take it. That is what insurance is for.
