🔺 Price Increase: 2022 Maverick XLT, Lariat, Options & Packages (For Orders Placed Beginning 12/27)

I talked to the sales manager at the dealership I have an order at today, he said changes that are impacted by the price change would be impacted by the price change, but would not change existing items. Eg, add a sunroof = new price for sunroof alone. Change paint color, change something not impacted by price, etc = no change to other impacted package prices.

I hope he's right as I'm changing paint color tomorrow...due to the holidays, I played phone tag...But after talking to him today, I'm pretty comfortable with the change. I'm going to be one very unhappy customer if I hear different tomorrow morning!

Well my dealer emailed me back as he said he would with the updated build order. The price of thr Lariat Lux was increased. He didn't acknowledge it of course.

Same here Let's see if they hold to what they said yesterday... I just replied back.

That’s okay it still allows you to build and price a hybrid also.

So that's fun.

Yeah I asked for my change on the 22nd... Apparently this dealership only has one person who can place orders, and they were on vacation till today.

If I was smarter, I'd have placed another order with another dealer. Take delivery of my first Maverick in the color I didn't want, drive it till the other one comes in, then sell it and buy the second one.

I shall, of course, post an update with the outcome.

Same here. Tried to get one in under the wire and failed.

Went from Pepper Red XLT

Tried to order a First Edition ... told those are no longer available to order

Changed order to a Velocity Blue Lariat Lux w/ Sunroof. Got charged the new prices. Was told the co-pilot 360 is included in the Lariat Lux. Have to make sure. Pulled the trigger on the more expensive build.

Seems kinda sus that the only time my dealership wasn't immediately responsive was the day before everything went up, but I guess they're the ones holding all the cards in this instance. Might end up dropping the sunroof. Speaking of, shouldn't that have stayed at the same price, or does changing trims mean a whole new order has to get placed?

I wouldn’t be surprised if changing trims sets off a totally new order.. just my hunch.

My local Ford dealer was clear that I could not order any Maverick and would have to settle for whatever comes in. And of course no orders for Hybrids at all. At this point I don't see how anyone who didn't order one back in July will have any chance of getting one. Am I missing something here ?

Go to ford.com and follow the prompts and you can build your order. When you are asked for your zip code put in the one for the dealer [Chapman, Granger, whoever] that you want to deal with.

I guess I’m the first sucker to order under the price increases. I’m in for a loaded Lariat, but I’m going to rationalize it by saying that I’m not paying any DEALER markups .

I have no problem, Joe L. No other communication since. He never responded to my text about the increase. I'm probably still going to send in the updated order as I already have an order from Chapman also and will probably just go with them, but just in case. I told him if any hybrid Lariats come in from customers that don't want then to let me know. He just brushed me off that the customers always take them, but will add a note.
