No, but if you're in Eco mode driving like a grandma with hopes to save fuel that's not helping. How steep is the hill/grade? How long? More info needed....

I’m not in Echo mode…Im just gave him an answer not sure why I said that. As for the size of a hill, usually something more than a mole hill, but I’ve noticed that when there’s 3 or 4 people in it, it does it more. I had it in the shop, the tech came with me and of course it wouldn’t do it with him there. It’s going back in next week, hopefully they can get to the bottom of this.

it's called downshifting. you'll get used to it. ;)

I've had a Grand Marquis with this symptom, as did my brother with a Chevy Traverse (he hates that vehicle). Our symptom was a series of small stumbles going up hills but no codes. In my case it was a coil-over-plug 'assembly'. In my brothers case, a cracked plug.
Hopefully it's something simple for you as well.

Is it only when it’s shifting? You said when throttle is pressed but that’s kinda vague.

My lady’s old 2014 Ford Focus had a shuddering trans problem once in a while out of first gear, even after the recall fix.

You may want your dealer to check your Transmission oil level. There is the chance it's under filled. Slim but there.

You don’t by any chance have the “lane assistance” turned on? I have not heard of any drivability issues like this on the maverick yet…

I have a 2017 Chevy Cruze with the 1.4T motor, and a common problem is the engine misfiring as it goes up long grades on the highway. It's subtle and you could just think it was just bumps in the road. If I press on the gas to go faster and induce a downshift, the engine will just buck much more pronouncedly. I have to manually downshift (the automatic transmission) first, then accelerate. I've had this problem nearly the whole time I've owned it. Of course the dealer says I have a good strong motor, but will suggest other tangential expensive repairs instead. At this point I just drive around with my thumb on the shifter so I can tap the +/- button to shift the transmission when I know I'll need to.

Hey thanks not sure what a cool over plug means? But I’m thinking it may be a tranny thing or driveshaft??
