Don’t you need to pay a subscription for this? And it doesn’t work with Alexa or Siri. If so there are much better options like buying a small module that hooks up to your Wifi and then you can just open it via voice commands when you’re near the driveway.
No subscription. New ones work with Google and Siri

Nothing really, I’m still on the fence about selling off my oldest car which is a 96 civic in almost mint condition with under 200k on the original engine, but my other car fills all my luxury needs, just getting to the point where I need something with a little more Utility and the maverick fills that role nicely without breaking the bank , that and it would be nice to have something that can tow my fun car every once in a great while to the race track

I've seen a lot of the "no cruise control in XL trim" posts and started thinking about what I'll miss once my Maverick (finally) gets here. For me it's definitely the no HomeLink button for garage door openers. Sounds trivial but I've had something built into my visor for probably the last 20 years, and now I'm going to have an ugly fob clipped to the visor. Can't wait for a brand new truck, but that little thing just bugs me. You'd think it would be integrated into the Luxury package, or at least a $150-$200 add on...

What do you/will you miss from your last vehicle(s) in your new Maverick?
Onboard Sirrius radio.

I'll miss the 3.6L V6 in my Grand Prix. I love that engine, fast (for me), and my mechanic always tells me it's one of the best GM made. I'll miss the manual transmission from my previous Mazda B series and Ford Ranger pickups.

I will miss the bench seat, column mounted shifter & CD player of my 04 Taurus, I'm hoping the Maverick will be as trouble free.
A car with a bench seat...pretty sure that was already a dinosaur when it was purchased in 2004!

In another 17 years in a similar thread you're likely to be posting about missing a steering wheel :)

Coming from a 2009 Focus SE to the Lariat Lux EB, there's only on thing to miss: the auto dimming rearview mirror. Even with that, I suspect the tint will take care of most of my needs. It does look like the mirror from the Escape goes on the same bracket, so if the wiring is there I might get it.

I don't mind the fob connected to my visor. But I ordered an XLT, so I will miss push button start and keyless entry. But not enough to pay thousands more for a Lariat. The XLT with luxury/BLISS packages has what I want most.

Now sure why you are laughing as Honda reliability is very real.

My wife's 2009 Honda CR-V Ex which she has had for 13 years and 87,000 miles on it and still owns has had only one repair. 01/11/2020 $16.18 Door Jam Switch.

Total Maintenance over those 13 years which includes:
Maintenance cost: $3014.60, per mile cost: 0.035

(13) Oil/Filter Changes
(4) New Batteries
(2) New Set of Tires
(4) 4-Wheel Alignments
(1) Transmission Fluid Replace
(3) Power Steering Fluid Replace
(3) Brake Flushes
(1) Coolant Flush
(1) Front Brakes
(1) New Pair of Headlights
Numerous air/cabin filters and wipers

My 2015 Honda Fit Ex that I owned for 7 years had no repairs at all.

Total Maintenance over those 7 years which includes:
Maintenance cost: $1281.29, per mile cost: 0.029

(7) Oil/Filter Changes
(1) New Battery
(1) New Set of Tires
(1) Brake Flush
Plus air/cabin filters and wipers

So that is 20 years of Honda ownership with only one repair of $16.18.

Now compare the above history to:

1998 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab that I had 16 years + 4 months:
Repairs cost: $3853.94, per mile cost: 0.052

1994 Ford Taurus
Repairs cost: $6142.93, per mile cost: 0.065

I am hoping that Ford's reliability has improved since I owned these vehicles. Note that Ford did improve from the 1994 Ford Taurus to the 1998 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab.
Our 2005 CRV needed a new starter after about two years at more than $1000. It had an intermittent, front-end vibration when we traded it in 2011. It was probably a CV joint.

I will miss having to lower my Escape hatch-back every time I close my garage door. Left it open once and closed the garage door and scratched the back end from the top all the way down. Maverick doesn't have anything that my garage door will touch, opening or closing.

I've had 4 Honda Civic Coupes over the past 13 years so I am interested to see the reliability comparison. Def gonna miss the fuel economy of the civic, because I went with the Ecoboost, but can't wait to have the versatility of the Maverick!

Came here to say that. I have a 2008 Suzuki SX4 and it is so fun to drive. Thinking of keeping it since the trade in value will be so low so I can still drive a stick when I want to
I have a 2012 Suzuki sx4 awd with a 6 speed manual. I will be driving the Suzuki for the manual and for bad weather and I’ll drive my hybrid for the gas mileage 🤦‍♂️

Easily, the thing I'll miss most is "rowing my own" with the manual transmission in my VW Alltrack.
Great little wagon, handles like a go-cart. But not nearly enough cargo capacity for my needs.
Plus, for some reason, my dog HATES riding in it. She'll only ride in the 2010 Escape.
My best guess is that she likes the greater visibility.
She's definitely a nosey little b*tch.

Rear legroom - the Honda Element had more rear legroom than any car I've ever been in. Also removable rear seats that turned it into a little van. I need the canopy for my Maverick to keep my gear dry in the NW.

I may have 2nd thoughts about selling it but I don't need another car in the driveway.
