I'll miss not taking the doors off for the summer as I did with my jeep wrangler.

I've seen a lot of the "no cruise control in XL trim" posts and started thinking about what I'll miss once my Maverick (finally) gets here. For me it's definitely the no HomeLink button for garage door openers. Sounds trivial but I've had something built into my visor for probably the last 20 years, and now I'm going to have an ugly fob clipped to the visor. Can't wait for a brand new truck, but that little thing just bugs me. You'd think it would be integrated into the Luxury package, or at least a $150-$200 add on...

What do you/will you miss from your last vehicle(s) in your new Maverick?
Homelink garage door opener, rain sensing wipers, navigation, electric passenger seat.

Ya but they where a pain (and heavy) to put on. Then there was the corroded door hinge problem...

Definitely has to be autosteer from my (former) Model 3 (not to be confused with the FSD I also had but isn't missed). Essentially advanced lane keep and adaptive cruise.

I only took them off 1 time, in the spring, each year, and put them back on when it got frosty in the morning. I'm in Wisconsin.

Coming from my Fiat 500e, I'll miss my carpool lane access and being able to squeeze into my small garage. I'll gladly trade those for the utility of a truck and the ability to drive more than 35 miles from home without worrying whether I have the range to make it back.

In no particular order:
  1. Rear defroster (hope those that say you don’t need one in the snow belt are right; if not will come up with a solution)
  2. 4 door handle touch lock/unlock (so convenient to touch rear handle while walking away)
  3. Memory seat (but figure Mav will be easier than my Fusion to get in & out off; if not may try to add it)
  4. Fog lights (will add if needed)
  5. Auto dimming rear & side mirror
  6. <edit> Power passenger seat

When I lived in Florida, my cj5 didn't even have doors.

V6 power and low engine noise

Push button start- keys never left pocket

1 push up/down feature on power window- I know odd but it is driving me crazy

Leather interior - not as much as I thought I would though.

New things I am enjoying:

Heated steering wheel - who knew
Auto bright/dim headlights - love em
My Bluetooth phone is better - pleasantly surprised
Obviously having a bed for functionality
