I could not hear anything that sounded at all like a "beep".
Could be the speaker(s) you were listening through did not reproduce the needed frequencies? To hear it without equalizing out the low frequencies I had to turn the volume up a bit on my computer. Then again my PC audio setup includes a pair of old Realistic Minimus 7 speakers with a custom crossover, desktop amplifier, powered subwoofer, and equalization software - your audio experience may vary a bit.:)

The recording itself does not seem to have much audio above 16kHz, if I equalize the output to my PC sound setup to remove everything below 1kHz and above 16kHz (this removes most of the other vehicle powertrain and road noise sound) the "chirp" is very clearly audible.

EQ "curve" to filter out the rumble:

OK here's a short video I took this morning with 4 examples of the beep. Recording was made with phone laying in front of the instrument panel cluster. That will give you an idea of how faint it is. When I have the radio on at normal volume I can't hear it unless there's a quiet part in the music.
I can hear it. That'd be annoying as hell to me.

It almost sounds like the dealer (or the factory) left the truck in some sort of debug mode where a module is confirming AWD status changes. Are you positive the beeps weren't there before you used Forscan?

Found the culprit!

The beep was being induced into the wiring of the tweeters in the Kicker components I also recently installed🤦‍♂️. Space is tight on that side so I had run the crossover down below. Disconnected the tweeter temporarily and the beep is gone! What a relief! Now I just have to figure out how to put everything back and avoid whatever harness it was picking up the noise from.
Thanks for all the responses! I swore that beep sounded like it was coming from under/behind the dash. Guess my ears aren’t so great.

Maybe you should go back and inform Gemini AI that is was your tweeter install and not an “entirely harmless and a native trait of the 2026 EcoBoost AWD platform.”

That is some pretty good detective work there.

Makes me wish we had some component location drawings and component schematics available to see if we could puzzle out what might be causing the interference.

You can also try making a heavy-duty tin foil wrap for the crossover in case that is what is picking up the noise.

I was able to squeeze the crossover into the little open area in the left front corner near the tweeter. Cut out all the excess wire between the crossover and the tweeter. Took another short drive, all good no more beep.
Glad this ended up being unrelated to Forscan mod.

Well, yes. Also have worked with many experimental electronics in laboratory environments. You'd be surprised at how handy foil tape can be.
I'm old, I call it speed tape. It works on planes too.

Well, it looks like I'm no longer the only one who couldn't hear the "beeps" as there are no longer any beeps to hear...
I do have trouble hearing very high frequencies, so in this case, it would be a plus.
No hear = No problem...
