With an ODB device plugged in there are various apps that will show the rpm of the ICE engine.
Thanks for restating my point.

This is the first vehicle in a long time that didn't have a tachometer in the dash.
The rpm of the ice will be kept at an efficient rpm with the electric drive motor providing torque in varying amounts using either the HVB or the current from the mg1 generator with the ice rpm slowly efficiently increasing or decreasing if needed. (Think adding a set rpm increase when needed to charge the HVB from 30% to 40% soc).

Are you looking at the add-on scanner displaying RPM that is not part of the truck?
No look to the right of the Temp Gauge in the dash 0 at the bottom and 7 at the top it's the same as mine and notice the rpm is just below 3 so the same as his add on scanner which shows 2,745 rpm!!

Good eye. all beeee.

I'm wondering if that is engineering mode, or several other posters in other threads thru the year with newer system, complaining about no tach, haven't looked hard enough.

but…. did you notice the HYBRID mode in that dash?
or are you talking about something else?
I missed that, but a tach display isn't an option on the 25MY hybrid I have, as documented in the 25 MY OM, as it gets a power meter instead, noted on page 102.

The tach is noted as part of the display on the 25MY EB on the following page 103.

I had (incorrectly) assumed that was also the case for prior years, but then I don't have one of those.. Thus the hybrid vs EB comment which applies to the 25 - 26 Mavericks.

I don't see much advantage to a hybrid tach, while I like the power meter.

There is no advantage to a tach in an EcoBoost either. Just a gadget.

Yep..
Maybe if you had paddle shifters and knew your powerband...
With the hybrid you are even more removed from the power transfer, and gear selection is something the bot takes care of...

The hybrid transmission has no gears. The hybrid does not come with a tachometer. I think you can still get the gas engine rpms somehow.
When in Sport mode mine feels like it shifts gears, not noticable in normal mode

As far as I'm concerned with my hybrid the 'bot does a great job. I've never had such perfection with the smooth operation.

And Tow/Haul mode.

And in the sense of gears - low RPM to higher RPM, shift, low-high, ect.

That actually happens except for the gear shift.
It literally does climb an RPM range depending on if you are really pressing it or calmly increasing speed.
I'm betting that range is around either the best power band or efficiency band for the engine.
Here's an example of the power band really pressing it. Rolling start to 60 in 12 seconds - woohoo!
Thank you @johnDeere.

The RPM gauge on mine was activated with ForScan.
