Love this and saved $100-300 dollars.

Got the switch key from Amazon (with key cut) for 44.00 dollars
Took about 25 seconds to program in the truck.
Must have 2 working keys though.
Good to have a backup for inexpensive

I purchased one of these 12/24 for my 23 Maverick XL. Differnt vendor but same description (Maverik). Received it and it programmed fine. Used it for my main key for a while (maybe a month). It looks identical, although the plastic and button feel is cheaper feeling than OEM FOB. Then one time I went to take the key out it seemed "stuck" in the ignition. Odd since it worked perfectly until then. I carefully giggled the steering wheel and key and eventually got it out. Since then I used it as a hide a key. I've tried it since and it's worked fine. Probably just a burr on the key from cutting. No regrets buying, just be careful. Maybe rub with an emery cloth and spray with a lubricant before inserting the first time.

1. Buy a Defu 368A key cutter machine, or similar key cutter. Should be under $150
2. Buy aftermarket key blank(s)
3. Cut your own key(s) for the Maverick. You can cut other keys too
4. Program the cutted keys to your Maverick
5. Now you have extra key(s) for the Maverick and in the future, you just need to buy blanks and key your own keys with your own machine.

I bought a key elsewhere before I found out they changed the frequency on the 2025+ models. So I bought the right one and it works great, plus the fob includes a remote start button, which works on all models since remote start is built-in.

Now I have a pre-2025 fob with remote start that I can't use. If anyone here is near Springfield, MO, I can meet up and sell or trade it. If you bring two working keys I'll even help program it.

Yes, you must have the two original keys to do it without the dealer.
